Makerfield by election

Reform has approached the Trade Unions for talks , I know as a ex-union member there are many Reform voters among the membership who previously had supported Labour and Tory .
Some Unions have shown an interest from reports , Makes sense for the Unions to to hold discussions as Reform could quite easily be governing the country in the next 3 years and many of their members are flocking to Reform ..

If Burnham wins this due to Restore splitting the right wing vote then I just hope the Restore brigade finally get the message. This is not about specific policy. It is about direction of travel.

Nothing will be gained if Labour win the next election. It seems inconceivable that it could happen given the farcical nature of their tenure, but it could happen unless the right rally behind one party.

Here's a clue. Restore and the Tories cannot win.
The Tories are Reform. They will do a deal with each other when it comes to the wire, then we'll go back to having the same dross we have endured for all these years.

You really think Reform supporters are " far right "?

Serious question, albeit it's a much misused phrase these days.

Comparing to German Nazis ( socialists ) is bizarre

Where do you think the centre of UK politics is now?

They like to say this, but try telling them that Gazans are Hamas

The problem is that if you keep telling moderates that they are far right then they might start to believe it and act upon it.

So, if you believe that then you have a choice. You either get Labour again, a Labour/Green alliance or, you get a Reform/Tory alliance. The latter means Nigel Farage as Prime Minister.

What you won't get is Restore or The Greens alone.

Why are you lot so desperate to blame other people for people’s actions?

Absolutely no sense of personal responsibility you lot, always someone else’s fault.

Why are you so desperate to avoid the obvious cause of all these problems?

The primary responsibility of any government is to keep its people safe. They have failed to do that. If people can't rely on the government or the police then they resort to other measures. To rub salt in the wound, the government then blame everything and everybody except themselves.

Always someone else’s fault. And your lot were literally attacking the police.

Who is "you lot"?

Does it help you to put people into categories so you can dislike subsets of people as a group instead of at an individual level?

The government seem to think so and you are clearly dumb enough to believe them.

He thinks that anyone who isn't a socialist or a liberal is a right wing thug.

s*** for brains. Completely indoctrinated.
I'm not going to attack the guy, I just wanted to understand what his motives were. Find it quite interesting. I have no doubt his heart is in the right place, he wants an understanding and forgiving world where everybody is treated equally and not shot down for their opinions.

You are too generous.

He is part of the problem. His heart only bleeds for select groups.
