Jimmy Page, you classic rock fan, you. Boleskin House - it went on fire a couple of times about 10 years ago and took several years to renovate but is now open to the public.

Very close to being proven as of 2026.

Latest technology all leading to the same conclusion - an unknown massive elongated biological entity
* DNA genetic analysis
* Acoustic Analysis
* Underwater camera sensors

At this point in 2026 sceptics and scoffers just need to find STFU and find somewhere to hide their red faces.
I'm waiting for your post about Father Christmas.

That's a new one on me.
But stories of a spiritial dimension, of it being summoned or driven away on command, go back to Saint Columba in AD 565.

Large eels living at depth sound the most plausible. It's loose enough to fit a lot of sightings and other evidence. It might also account for large sonar records, where perhaps eels are swimming in a pack.
I've seen a few large eels while diving in the West Indies and they are nasty bar stewards. You don't want to get close to any of them

A 25-foot eel would be a threat to humans, in theory.
Legend says that residents would warn children from getting too close or swimming in the Loch. Funny how often these ancient myths and legends turn out to have more to them.

I kayaked the length of Loch Ness once, don't think I would knowing there are 25 foot eels below me 😕

roald smit danish oceanographer spend many years looking to find where the european eel bred and discovered that it was the sarogaso sea ,but when trawling nets with tiny mesh for plankton size baby eels in mid atlantic which were only less than one centimeter in size that would grow to the size of full grown eel of 2ft he also found there were plankton stage eels that were over 18 inchs long now pro ratia to the size of a normal eel this chappie would grow to over 100 foot long ,so here is your sea monster and nessie 🙂

They don't even taste that nice.

Born with a (s)cowl. But jellied eels three times a day won't help and the eels probably aren't that keen either. All the way from the Sargasso sea to end up in a polystyrene cup?

The polystyrene cup isn't the worst of it. Ending up in an Essex fat lard belly - that's the real indignity.
