Both Imray and Ozoh are interesting figures. I see both being sold or released but they are clearly already proven professionals.

Rak-Sakyi, more than anybody else is the one that should have made it in our side, but for whatever reason didn't.....Difficult and sullen? Don't know, but clearly talented.

A certain Michael Olise was released by Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man City due to “attitude issues”. Wonder where he ended up?

This surprised me, you'd think that if we have made a contract offer known that it would mean we expect him to sign.....I thought he was gone.

Doucoure signed a 5 year deal in 2023… regardless , I don’t agree we should be letting players like that walk on a free.

Lerma has been a key part of the squad over the last two seasons and provided good cover in multiple positions - I don’t particularly rate him but he would cost north of £20m to replace.

Clyne is obviously the most reasonable shout but I can’t imagine he’s on massive wages.

Agree. He's a useful squad player. Happy to renew players like that if it frees up money to spend on the first 11.

These three are probably up there as among the most likely to make a breakthrough, and they are all right-backs, so you would hope one of them might make it with us. A lot will probably depend on what the club and the new manager's vision is. With a lot of the senior squad away at the World Cup, the youth squads may get more chances to impress than in a normal summer. I know we ended up winning the Conference League, but it did feel a bit of a missed opportunity that Glasner didn't take more opportunities to introduce young players in a balanced way via European games.

Kaden Rodney being released is a bit of a surprise, as he got some minutes with the first team last season and did ok, albeit without pulling up trees. Maybe there are other youth players in his position who the club now feels are more likely to make it with us? He'll almost certainly pop up somewhere else pretty quickly though. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign with either a smaller Championship team or a League One team.

i know. Ozoh is contracted to next summer, but some chose not to believe me and relied on unreliable info for their 'evidence'.

Not sure he will work in a 3-4-2-1 formation, which Sage seems to prefer, however, as a lone 6 in a 4-3-3 i think he is a decent player. Definitely championship level, at a minimum.

If we were to sell this summer would definitely command 7 figures

I would hope for 8 given that Southampton were willing to fork out an 8 figure sum for JRS. I know he's a defensive player but he was one of Derby's best players both last season and the limited time he had the previous season when he had a bad injury. He's shown he can more than hold his own in the Championship.

In fact if we were to sell him I can imagine someone like Hull or even Ipswich going for him.

Having said all that I think we'll need him this coming season as a rotation option in what I hope will be another very busy campaign.

Yeah he should but suddenly he is like 4th or 5th choise. Since Khorpa before his injury was around first team and played some as well. And now Cardines as well. Never seen Imray play but I was kinda impressed by Cardines, less so with Khorpa, mostly because he seems to short to really make it as a WB or FB.

Lost me on the last part to short , they are there to run tackle and cross , height in that position doesn't come into it , Messi is 5ft 7 he didnt turn out a bad player , king Kenny S was 5ft 8

Ashley Cole was hardly a giant - officially 5 ft 9, but looks slightly smaller, and he played over 100 games for England.

You do need height in a team - maybe 4 or 5 decent sized players, but for the remaining players it's almost irrelevant

JRS had 2 years left of his contract then and since has had an average loan at Stoke. I'd take £5m now with 12 months left.

Ozoh for £10m?? Based on his young age i'd make that the asking price, but doubt we will have takers. Alternatively, it will be a phased payment fee - so maybe £5m upfront and £5m in add ons (appearances etc).

Agree, i'd rather keep Ozoh , especially as both Lerma and Hughes faded badly in the 2nd half of the season and Kamada may leave.

I would definitely sell JRS if there are takers. I don't think Ozoh is that great either so I would only keep if we couldn't afford to replace our midfield.

I actually think these boys are good players as back up but as young lads can you really expect them to sit on the bench every week until someone in their position gets injured? Even then they might not get a game.

Realistically JRS as a wide forward isn’t getting any game time given our squad and the fact we are arguably a bit bloated in that position. Ozoh has good qualities but he always looks really slow by EPL standards.
