I said at the time it was a bad move for him. He was an inexperienced striker with one PL season with a small club. He would have done better going to a club like ours or equivalent for a couple of seasons to learn his trade.Chelsea fans want instant gratification & don't seem to have a lot of positive things to say about anyone that didnt come with £100 million price tag.
When you are at a top 6 club the fans expect to see the finished article not a young man learning his trade. Ipswich and Palace fans are far more forgiving, if Ipswich had survived I would have told him to stay put for another season.
If JPM is going I would certainly enquire but I suspect Chelsea will want silly money.
