That’s simply the imposition of the victim narrative that the right try to introduce at every juncture. They see themselves as victims of a progressive world.

Of course the police, and every public institution, are given diversity training! It’s what is required if we are to reduce inequality. It’s to be welcomed, not condemned.

Their initial assumptions had nothing to do with any kind of ideology. Our Police don’t have an ideology. They have duties.

They made a mistake. A very understandable mistake that most of us would likely to have made if faced with those circumstances. Only those who are so prejudiced they assume any incident involving someone from an ethnic culture different to their own must be the responsibility of the other think, otherwise.
The mistake they made was in taking the word of one person who claimed to have been abused over another who claimed to have been stabbed and was bleeding in evidence.
It's unlikely that anyone who'd been stabbed five times was offering any discernable threat but he was still handcuffed.

Where the usual narrative beat the obvious facts. All anyone needs to do is open their eyes and look around them.

Every murder is a tragedy. It’s not though necessary to try to link each to a particular narrative of racism or police ineptitude.

The circumstances surrounding this one are described by the police themselves in the report below. Officers are trained to react correctly but not every possibility can be predicted. They are as human and capable of error as anyone else. They made an initial wrong assumption, swiftly corrected. The reporting of which has been comprehensive.

A disgusting lack of sympathy, but we've seen this before from him.

As you are an anti white and have said that they don't even exist on these boards, your opinion is discarded.

I only hope for real justice.

The mistake they made was signing up.

They signed up for the training and they lived out that training on the job. They decided these were the people they would work for.....a lot of them will believe in the training.

The system will cover for them because....in terms of how it saw priorities, it's the system that's responsible for this lad dying in handcuffs.

We await the Police cam footage.

You obviously either have not read the police report or don’t comprehend it’s implications.

The victim was bleeding internally and the wound was difficult to find. There was no “bleeding in evidence”. As soon as it being clear he needed attention the handcuffs were removed and first aid given.

Reports from the trial confirm Henry Nowak was stabbed five times.
Once in the face, twice in the back of the legs, and a fatal wound to the chest (among other details).

He had been stabbed in the face......How about you comprehend the implications.

To me the Police are clearly trying to minimize their culpability in how they acted at the scene.

The facial stab and leg wounds would likely have been visible (blood, cuts), and he left a trail of blood while trying to flee over a fence. All it required was looking and having the correct priority between a claim of stabbing to one of hurty words.

In any rational situation, a claim of stab wounds + breathing difficulty demands immediate checks. If it far and beyond a concern for hurty words. Nowak was not displaying a physical threat and so handcuffing someone without proof of public disorder is questionable.

Handcuffing can also hinder breathing/positioning for someone with chest trauma. Something Novak made clear and they ignored....but they didn't ignore the claim of racism.....reportedly going through his phone for racism after he had died....as if that mattered.

This innocent man died in his own blood handcuffed by Police despite him telling them and.....reportedly being laughed at by one of them.

If he denied being racist why was he handcuffed. Because now they are told to take the victims side if they claim racism against them.
We is white n racist innit

He didn’t “die in handcuffs”! That’s yet more evidence of the way the right jump on a terrible event to spread a narrative of hatred.

No one will cover up for them. There’s no need. I am quite sure the incident has been, or will be, thoroughly investigated so any necessary lessons are learned.,

I don’t see the slightest evidence of the officers behaving badly. They used their judgement to assess priorities and acted. That judgement proved incorrect but it wasn’t malicious. Nor is the “system” to blame. We have a perfectly fine system that tries to treat everyone fairly and equally, with no presumptions. Complaining about the “system” being unfair is the opinion of many entrenched political views. They are all wrong. Just as you are.

I suggest instead of criticising those trying to do their duty on our behalf you start to show some respect and understanding to those who work for us.

Acting on the information immediately available and taking quick decisions is what officers must do. Only once control has been established can a better assessment be made. That’s not taking the victims side. It’s enabling a situation to be managed. Who is the victim comes later.

They were told lies. They and we know that now. They didn’t then.

But why handcuff him for an accusation of words. He wasn’t being aggressive I read. You miss the point totally. Racism has its own stage when it comes down to judging a criminal act. This is the main stage and McPherson and all since should be given the gallows. Blood on their hands.

THIS. And this could be put to bed quietly if they released their Body Cam videos, I'm guessing that the reason they haven't is that the evidence is so damning or even worse they blatantly refused to activate their cameras when making this 'arrest'

The police are usually quick to release body cam footage. Wonder why we have not seen it yet?

He lost consciousness in handcuffs, the last moments he had conscious on this planet were in handcuffs.

You awful person.

You mean like the grooming gangs were for decades?

I'm tempted to say that these Police officers had about the same level of judgement as you display on here.

Crap and not fit for purpose.

Though I think a lot of your positions just come about because you are an awful person.

But the appropriateness of how they behaved and how the dying Henry was treated can be revealed by releasing the camera footage.

The fact that he left a trail of blood should have been a sign.
