At Forrest Johnson was a chalk dust winger. And at the time one of the best prospects in the league. I dont see why with the right set up he couldn't play like that again.

Pino's influence on games is increasing week on week.

Good players dont become bad players overnight. Systems and formations have huge impact on things. Look at Benteke. First season scored 15 league goals, then for some reason, we decided to stop crossing the ball and he didn't really score again.

I started doing it in the 80’s when Kevin Mabbutt was our top scorer with 8 🤣 and I’m still doing it now 🤓
 
Pino is close to being a really good player. I think when one of his efforts goes in that could be the turning point for him. He was so unlucky with the freekick and two offside goals before that. Larsson needs to step up, he's clearly not at Mateta level but needs to be pushed by other quality strikers (so we need to invest). I'd sell Johnson and Nketia to newly promoted teams who overpay and get fooled by the same trick we did, thinking we're buying Prem pedigree when they're actually a load of old tosh.
 
If we are going to take Europa league seriously, we definitely need to build a bigger squad. The future performance of these four players will depend on who we bring in as our next manager and how things unfold with him. As always, our board of shareholders will need to decide how much funds they will commit to our future. As football has become all about money, their decision will largely determine our short term future plans for next season. Yet again, there is a lot of work needed over the next few months. We will not secure any new players until we have a new manager in place. if all goes to plan (if their is one) and the plan is to go for it, then all four will almost certainly stay as part of a bigger squad. Will they ever perform for us above their current frustrating ways will depend largely on the outcome of summer activities. I have my concerns based on recent track records of change, but I am hoping for the best.
 
Unfortunately we got well and truly shafted by Arsenal when we bought Nketiah. It was a panic buy at the time.

The guy can’t place or aim the ball into the net. A true head down, hit and hope merchant who will invariably just kick the ball straight at the keeper.

We need to get rid of him.

Jury’s out on Johnson but I’d give him more time.

I like Pino. Like Kamada he’s grown on me.

The more I think about this the more I suspect you are right. Franca didn't play for Botofogo so on paper how could Textor benefit. However since then we have since seen all sorts of murky dealing with Textor and his fat Greek mate in Brazil so we may never know if there was some kind of back door deal with Franca's club that benefited Textor?

Did Botofogo owe Flemengo money on other stuff?

Did they get all the money or was most syphoned off in agents fees etc.

Nothing would surprise me.
