Larson pino johnson Nketiah will they come good?

Wish they all succeed, but the two guys from North London clubs seem like they are simply not up for it. Larsen on top has to work hard(er) to get near to Mateta quality, Pino is 50/50. Losing the ball too easily, bad passing, but there is a player in there. Let us hope he will enjoy WC success and return with confidence high.

Larson and Pino yes – and tbh Pino has been consistently good for us in Europe.

Jury's out on Johnson, but I think we bought a dud in Nketiah.
Fair. As you said Pino is settling and starting to deliver. Great shot on him from outaide the box. Highly rated in Spain he is no dud just needed time. Will be a big player next season.

Johnson will definitely come good I'm convinced. I've watched him a lot since Forest loaned him out to Lincoln City a while back and he was fabulous for them and then back at Forest.
He had a decent time at Spurs as we know and i believe he's just short on confidence and trying to settle into a new playing style, new team mates etc.
The same can be said of Pino, I think it always takes a season for players from abroad to fully settle in.
Larsen I ain't sure about, he's limited as to what he can do, doesn't score anywhere near enough so the jury is out on him.

Summation correct. Think Larsen needs somebody a bit closer to him than Mateta. Pino’s intelligent and as someone else has said will come better next year.

To an extent their success may well depend upon the chances they get under the new manager and in which system they are deployed.
Pino clearly has ability and Johnson has demonstrated that he can be an effective performer at both Forest and Spurs.
It should be acknowledged though that they may well have to compete for a start with Sarr and Guessand (if he signs) or any other player that the new manager brings in.

On Larsen I’m unsure.
Despite his height, he’s not a robust player or someone who can bully opponents or act as a focal point of the attack.
There has been evidence that he can finish chances, but has he got that penalty box ‘feel’ to poach goals like the one Mateta got in the final the other evening?
To stick out a leg on a loose ball across the area, or follow up on a deflection?

Will be interesting to see how things go for all 4 of them after a pre-season with a new manager. It appeared like we tried to sell Nketiah to West Ham in the last window but it fell through due to his hamstring injury. One thing for sure for me is i prefer Strand Larson to Nketiah as he at least knows how to stay on side. Nketiah was always getting caught offside when he was in the side. We will need cover as we will be playing in Europe again so potentially all 4 will be in the squad for next season. I think Johnson can come good and Pino will improve.

Simon Jordan labelled him a "Donkey" at the start of the year and JSL has displayed braying tendencies. He has given reasons for those to conclude that Simon was accurate in his assessment.
Let us hope that we witness a much better version of JSL under a new manager.

JSL willl be fine I think. Remember he was a noticeable step up from how JPM had been playing at the time. Pino will be good especially if we play a system that suits him. Same with Johnson.

Nketiah is what he has always been. He was playing much better before he got injured but he is never going to be a first choice striker

There are a lot of variables to consider, cost, previous form, form with Palace, injury record etc.
Stripping it back to basics: Larsen, needs to do more and I think has more to offer.
Pino: I have no worries about him, this is his first season and he has shown flashes of why he is a Spain international.
Johnson: Did it with his previous clubs but has yet to show anything like that form in a Palace shirt. Must improve.
Nketiah: A really poor purchase and one of the luckiest players on the planet. Has medals and a huge salary without actually doing much. Poor scoring record and prone to injury. Allegedly was to be on his way to West Ham before getting injured again.

Important to stress that it all depends on who stays and who goes, I can't imagine Sarr being superseded should he stay, and Larsen has his work cut out to replace Mateta now that he is returning to some sort of form. Should Mateta go then Larsen really needs to step up to the plate.
Of course it also depends on how the new manager wants to set up.
Essentially all 4 need to improve from what they offered this season.

The new manager might not rate JSL one iota and favours a more mobile striker rather than a 'Target Man'. As an example, he might favour a player akin to Will Osula, Junior Kroupi, Evanilson or Taty Castellanos etc etc

Newcastle cast eyes in the direction of JSL but signed Woltemade who cost them £65 Mill rising to £70 Mill.He made an impressive start but since the turn of the year has only scored 2 goals. He is however not a typical No 9 and has the ability to drop deep, link the play and has looked more comfortable deployed between the midfield and the opponents area.

Pino, great dribbler, lots of skill. Plays for Spain as winger but does not have the physicality to challenge Prem defenders as a No.10. That will never change, so he's either used as a winger or an impact sub against tired legs.

Johnson, 18 goals for Spuds in 23/24, brilliant for Forest, there's something there but a torrid time at Spuds this season, has no confidence. Not sure Glasner knew what to do with him, square peg/round hole?

Larsen, dunno. Despite his height looks a bit lightweight, certainly compared to Mateta. Put him on the powder.

A new manager with a close season to work on maybe they all improve. A different system, different roles could change everything.

but, the one I'm totally sure about....

Nketiah, the Arse have had our trousers down, again. Loan out asap.

Pino has grown on me recently, he’s always given his all, but has always looked a bit lightweight and easy to brush off the ball, but I think that side of him has improved and he’s always involved in a game when his on the pitch, he doesn’t go missing. And you’ve got to feel sorry for him the last two games, goal dissallowed and hitting both posts is one of those rare how the fcuk did that happen moments

Larsen I think he’ll score around the 15 goals mark next season, hopefully the bulk of them in the league to help keep us out of trouble again

Johnson I just can’t see that he gives us anything, he just seems to laid back for me, no fire in his belly, but hopefully a fresh start next season and maybe an early goal or two in August might improve things

Nketiah I like Eddie, he does seem to know where the goal is when he plays, but injuries and coming on as a sub here and there don’t do him any favours, it’s not looking good for him with us really, because let’s face it, whoever the new gaffer is and however we play, I doubt he’s going to be a regular starter again, so sadly we may as well cash in if possible
