Given our recent success it's hard to justify criticising our incredibly slow hiring strategy too much for both players and staff.

However, I do find it amazing that Glasner announced he was going in January, it's now mid/late May and we don't seem to have it sorted.

Since then Iraola announced he was leaving Bournemouth and they almost immediately landed Marco Rose. Guardiola is leaving City and it seems they have Maresca lined up to step in. Chelsea quickly recruited Alonso and so on.

Why are we the only club that plods like this? Unless we have it sorted and are insanely good at keeping secrets, which I doubt.

Latest odds Iraola has drifted a little . No surprise to shorter odds to early

Common denominator being that Rose, Alonso and Maresca are currently not employed by clubs.

We probably already had people pulling out.

Well Glasner was a surprise I don't remember much about him until he was appointed.

Surely Iraola must have a top club lined up as manager, if as likely getting Bournemouth into the Champions league with a transfer credit of 130m must make him manager of the season, in my book

Strange things going on with Liverpool if true as you would have thought Alonso was the ultimate candidate if change was needed based on numerous factors and they let him walk to Chelsea.

Wednesday’s result will define who we get.

My guess is the club want Iraola and he wont commit til he knows we have Europa League football next year which is reasonable. If after Wednesday Iraola still wont commit then I'd expect Palace to move onto no.2 and maybe 3 on the list. For now, we have time so why the hysteria? Frankly I dont really care if Bournemouth have a new guy lined up. As for Chelsea they currently dont have a manager so of course they are going to move quicker than us to calm the dressing room. City have not announced any replacement for Pep that I am aware of so I dont even know why they were mentioned
