Labour Party politics

The major benefit of Brexit is less government. We should avoid as much government as is practicable. Abolish regional assemblies, metro-mayors and councils (abolition of police commissioners is a small start). Keep government out of as much of our lives as possible while maintaining law and order, defence, health services and social services for the deserving. Slash government spending as far as possible and cut taxes as much as possible. The EU represents the opposite of all these things and is an appalling, undemocratic organisation.
As possibly mentioned elsewhere, if you want real time evidence of the benefits of EU membership just look at France for a minute and check what the French economy is like.

There are plenty of poor millionaires in the UK and beyond.

Asset rich cash poor like say landowners or farmers or even the owner of a castle or two. You can be worth millions without necessarily having two pennies to rub together.

Until they downsize.

Then again, they will be robbed blind.

Apparently the state thinks that they should get a large share of inheritance.

I didn’t realise that Farage had been found guilty although he has invited an investigation into that - must have missed it
Better than that he has admitted it! Farage has never refused a chance to mouth off rather like Oscar Wilde grandstanding in court and talking himself into Reading Jail, least said soonest mended but Farage is doomed, Coutts and Co only get rid of the foulest of people.

Following the treatment of Farage, Dame Alison Rose, Nat West Group CEO, resigned after admitting to a "serious error of judgement", closely followed by the resignation of Coutts chief executive Peter Flavel. Subsequently the Financial Conduct Authority said there were "potential regulatory breaches". The bank eventually apologised to Farage and paid him an undisclosed sum in settlement.

Yes, he admitted taking the money. Before he was an MP.

Let's see what the investigation, should there even be one, reveals.

This is your typical political persecution that the left and social liberals have become known for all over Europe. Farage wasn't an MP at the time......this wouldn't be happening against anyone else.

These whores know they are unpopular and will do anything to stay in power. Starmer is a chief example of it over here.....Literally has no shame at all, he only cares about power.

It's different from the time when I was growing up. You did get resignations from real power, there were lines that mattered. Thatcher for example resigned rather than put herself forward for a grubby leadership contest. She knew the time had come.

Nothing like that with Starmer and Macron types.

They are full of hate for people like me and that fuels them.....They don't care that their politics has been rejected.

Massive numbers need to be sacked from power and institutions because their politics informs their work and Farage or any right wing leader in power will get nowhere if they are left in place to block them.....You always get your 'go alongs to get alongs', but a large amount will stifle anything he does.

Thing is, I don't think Farage will do that, he thinks he can work with the current establishment like Trump thought he could in 2016 (despite the speeches written by Bannon, which helped him get elected, who he quickly discarded).

It's because, like Trump....Farage's main interest is power, much more than it is change. He thinks Thatcherism will work....problem is, the country is very different now.

I view it as largely a waste of time....not saying I won't vote for it...if it's that or continuing with the left in charge.

But it's effectively milktoast when you need someone like Lowe in there to actually save Britain from being lost to foreigners and subversives feeding on its corpse.

He has acknowledged the gift and said it was above board as far as parliamentary reporting was concerned, we shall see if that is correct or not.

What exactly do you think he has admitted?

Farage did a great service to the de-banked thousands who had no voice

Why stop when you are having fun......

Never heard of a dry sea?

Facts are often interpretation

Small giants is actually an interesting read it's a book about business.

The exodus of millionaires is something that has been ongoing for a long time as the rich can afford to live somewhere or indeed nowhere at a whim.

Yes my point is to try and benchmark us against France with similar sized populations and whether we are better or not in the EU. I can't see any evidence when comparing against France were we have been outperformed in any metric.

I fully agree with the stance that the economic case for the EU is widely over pushed by EU fans.

You just need to look at the current EU economies for the reality.

So I'm fully in agreement.

In terms of a metric that France could be better than us? Energy prices? Because of better decisions regarding nuclear in the past.....but that has nothing to do with the EU.

Hotter women?
