Labour Party politics

I'm no fan of Streeting.....Mind you, come to think of it, I can't think of anyone on the modern left I like.

That said, purely on his chances of becoming PM.....Going early does strike me as his best chance.

He's not the most popular in his party but if he can present a choice between him and Starmer before others get their shoes on, then he has a chance.....he's a better communicator than Starmer and could win the vote.

If Labour MPs voted Starmer back in they would really need their brain cells checked.....then again, they are Labour MPs I suppose.

Looks as though he's going for it sooner rather than later.

Has the most useless PM in recent times resigned yet??
They've all been as equally useless as each other for some time now. If the King had balls, he'd address the nation and ask for the whole of parliament to step down. A reset is required. We'll never get it. By the time it is recognised the whole place will have likely fallen down like a rotten old garden shed.

The last time a monarch tried that it did not end well, I know Farage wants civil war but Charles 3 is not Charles 1.

He can actually ask for things. He can't impose them. If it were, for example, within the King's speech, then everyone would at least hear it. Won't happen - but personally I don't fancy any of the current parties, any of the politicians more or less, the voting system is inadequate, the party system needs examination.
The actual reason the King won't rock the boat is Reform will win. God forbid that commoner getting above his station.
The system is geared towards the establishment in all of our countries. It doesn't reflect anything that people want or need. I'd say that for pretty much all democracies these days. We see it all over, time and time again. I don't need to give examples. They're all, around us every day.

Wes Streeting will be miffed.

For those of us not au courant with such matters - what is miffing?
"Miffed" is an informal adjective meaning slightly annoyed, offended, or upset, typically by something someone said or did. It describes a feeling of mild irritation, frustration, or being "put out" rather than extreme anger.
