9% saying they want him to go doesn't mean the rest are "obviously" happy with him. Who knows how many of them are waiting to see how this pans out before declaring their undying loyalty?

The biggest sin in modern politics seems to be not having a huge charisma. Biden lacked one, so does Starmer. Trump and Farage are both bereft of real policy making abilities but can communicate.

As a life long bird watcher, I spot the things others fail to see. If the media succeed in picking the next Prime Minister then ballot boxes may well feature on Bargain Hunt as relics of a bygone past.

As a lifelong Border Force Officer I can spot bullshit when others fail too. But that’s another story for another time

It helps to get into office but not necessarily to stay there. There's a fine line between having charisma and being seen as facile - voters found Tony Blair charismatic but the appeal wore off.

I was amazed when you look at the secondary jobs of all of the resignees. They all have some kind of paid position as some kind of secretary or other. Who ever thought that being in power was a gravy train?

It was always important for a successful leading politician but now it is critical.

People don't want a strong front man they want a gameshow host.

What would Labour consider a safe seat for Burnham to have donated to him? Who gets kicked out of their MP role to accommodate the process?

Isn't that what happens whenever a PM resigns and the Replacements voted in by their party? the Replacements are never 'on the ballot' at the last election? or are you talking about the last Labour leadership race?
