I agree with what you say here about OG just being a typical manager. With regard to the penultimate paragraph he was quite explicit what he wanted in terms of backing.
He gave three interviews on the subject and essentially said he wanted players brought in early in the windows to allow for proper assimilation in the squad and understanding of their teammates and Glasner's methods.
He also said he felt 'abandoned ' by the board because they had failed to deliver on their promises.
As far as I'm aware the club have not any comment on his allegations.
Furthermore, Glasner has also made contradictory statements at times suggesting he was content with the squad.
In other words he's a typical manager whose utterances are often determined after the latest result and the emotions associated with that result.
Much of this is water under the bridge now.
It does mean that there are lots of question marks over the summer though in terms of a new manager and incoming and outgoing players.
My point was more i think he got as much as any manager could expect from a club like Palace - rather than him not being clear about his demands.
We have spent money - despite what people say. And Parish will not prostitute the club for the whim of a manager. He has made some good deals, some bad ones - but we will always have a club to support tomorrow with him calling the shots.
And while i'm sure OG would rather not have lost Eze and Guhei - the well documented rumblings of those deals were a result of market forces - City and Arsenal made bids when then did. The club had the same choice everyone else has in such times - sell, or keep an unhappy player. In my experience, the former is always the lesser of two evils
So in summary - i know why OG says he is unhappy - but i think he is naïve to have expected anything else
