And on that note I spotted this today. It says a lot about our useless Civil Service or to be precise the ONS.
Civil servants back down on census gender questions
Confusing wording of a question on gender identity on the 2021 census resulted in 'unreliable' statistics which vastly overestimated the number of trans people.
The next census is 2031 so next year they will do a pilot, okay that makes sense.
However they are not including a Trans question (in the pilot) as last time it was a shambles and produced incorrect data. Their excuse is that the question will not be ready in time?
You are kidding me. They have 1 year to come up with a question for just a pilot and they don't have the time, pathetic. Surely the whole point of a pilot is to try stuff out.
It's clear to me the ONS is running scared of the issue as they fear the Trans community and the anti Trans community.
For the record my views are this:
1. Why are we even having a census it's an outmoded and inaccurate way of collecting important data that the government then relies on for its spending plans e.g. health education, housing benefits etc. There are more accurate ways of taking data from multiple sources rather than a one off big bang.
2. If you are going to have a census then of course there should be a Trans question as this impacts all sorts of areas of British life so we need to know the numbers.
It's pathetic that they can't even include a trial question in a trial survey.
Not got the balls to answer this one, George?

Someone being happy isn't some panacea.
Are you saying that mentally ill people can't be happy?
Hey, you could disregard mental illness and just say an extremely fat person eating cake is happy, but were you right in giving the cake?.....someone smoking fags with bad lungs can be happy.
I'm also a bit concerned that you used the word, 'kid' in this context......Anything involving this kind of thing should strictly be reserved to adulthood.
