I was watching the League Cup final today and thought Bernardo Silva did magnificently in the second half.

Surprisingly physical for someone with his build, covered every blade of grass, looked great on and off the ball. He was the pivot around which Semenyo/Doku/Cherki played and they were too much for Arsenal once they got going.

He is 31. Maybe one to keep an eye on.

Munoz has just returned from injury. Arteta or Pep would not be releasing him for a friendly. It's completely unnecessary.

I'll acknowledge that as a manager Glasner has won more trophies than I have and has more management experience (500 plus games) to me (zero).

Nonetheless I think it seems somewhat inflexible to base a whole system around one player, Munoz, even allowing for how effective he has been in the RWB role.
This becomes even more evident when he's unavailable or out of form as he has been for some of this season.

Mitchell and the central defenders are more than capable of playing in a back 4 and I suspect our central midfielders would look more comfortable with more than 2 selected to patrol the area.

I would like to see a 433, 4411 or a similar variation, but may have to wait until next season.

I know what you mean and am hoping the promoted teams are useless. Plus one of the bottom four now: maybe we can finish 15th/16th. Of course, will depend on manager, contract renewals and transfers in and out.
