Eh! The targets have been military. You don't get people to rise up by bombing them. Any damage to civilian areas would be unintentional collateral damage.
Anyone who wanted to escape Iran would be doing it to get away from the regime, and they could have done that from years ago.

I dunno what you are on about. I've said that the likes of you are rejoicing that Trump loses rather than the Iranian people win by removing the regime. Trump and Bibi are failing badly at that, and that is nothing to celebrate because it means everyone aside a brutal regime has lost, including you.

Trump's been looking for an off ramp ever since he's realised that the regime isn't falling and not willing to negotiate.
If he takes his fleet and leaves and leaves this mess to everybody else to sort out in the strait he'll claim that his job is done and that it's a victory.
The reality is that it's a giant mess that he's directly responsible for, the repercussions of which none of us can know for sure.....but I can't think of any positive ones.
Unless that regime falls, they will be hell bent for a nuclear weapon.......the only way to stop them now would be to invade with hundreds of thousands of troops.
Either that or Israel nukes them.
Complete and utter sh1t show and god knows what the repercussions of that are.

Yup, it's nothing to celebrate, it's a disaster. Should've been a big invasion or smashing up of everything nuclear related at best. Unfortunately probably the former because I think it's a matter of time before they get their hands on a nuke and threaten everyone else with it, which will be far far more costly than a blip in the markets.

This is my main gripe.
Trump’s apparent concern for the poor down trodden Iranians as a a reason for this war is nauseating. He hates Muslims! We all know what happens when the west try and impose western democracy on hardline Muslim states. It descends into fundamental tribal anarchy.
This may sound harsh but I have no interest in internal Iranian politics and if they murder protesters then it is very sad, but not our problem. The region would arguably be far more stable if the west hadn’t taken out Saddam and Gadaffi.
What has actually been achieved by the last 3 weeks? Nothing.
