Glasner Out

It's perfectly ok to call out Glasner on his rigidity. Glasner has his template and sticks to it, fair enough, but when it comes to inserting players in positions just for the sake of the template then things are not perfect, as we have seen. Did the club really acquire Johnson so he could be shoehorned in at wingback? It doubt it. For Glasner the template is sacrosanct, other considerations are secondary.
Johnson has not been used to being deploying at wing-back and looks like a 'Fish out of water' in this role.
I suspect he is not viewing his time at the club through the prism of positivity.

He just might end up scoring the winner in Leipzig 😅

Johnson will work out fine, he simply needs time. I do remember a few similar derisory comments about Sarr when he first joined.
It takes time to settle at a new club, Johnson will come good, he's a fine player.

I hope you're right because so far I've seen zero potential that he's worth anywhere close to the 35m we've spent on him.

Which attacking player has looked consistently good since December? Arguably Sarr though he’s also had plenty of games where he’s been poor. As a whole the attacking side of the team has failed to function in the last 4 months and longer. We’ve gone from playing with intensity, pace and creating chances to aimlessly passing sideways and slowly ambling around. The collective drop off has been dramatic.

If it was one player you’d conclude it is the player. If it was two players you’d give the benefit of the doubt to the coaching staff. When it is every single attacking player there is only one place to look and that is squarely at the manager.

I still can’t believe there are people trying to make the case that Glasner isn’t the problem and finding excuses for him. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion but when the manager refuses to accept accountability for losing to a sixth tier team, goes on a several months long winless run and our attacking play drops off a cliff I’m amazed people don’t think he’s part of the problem. Especially when he slags off the squad, the board and the fans for good measure.

Glasner was a great manager for us but he isn’t anymore

We're comfortably safe in the Premier League and in a European quarter final.....

How do you measure "terrible"?
"terrible" is a manager who has had 120m of attacking players since he has been here and cannot jell a team who looks the same standard as a poor team, even though they are light years off premier league standard.

Ignore this guy, he thinks Hodgson is a better manager than Glasner 🤣
Has Glasner managed Inter Milan, Liverpool, England, Switzerland, and was extremely well thought of in Scandinavia, Glasner is only thought of as good on HOL by some people that cant see further than the end of their nose, this season should have been superb, but Glasner, and his crony hangers on have turned it into a s*** show.

People talk about Glasner like he has league titles under his belt, and European trophies by the bucket load, if he was any good a bigger team would have got him, he has managed us, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt all who couldn't wait for him to go.

Has Glasner put Harry kane on corners, has Glasner played arguably the best LB of all time at CM, has Glasner been knocked out by Iceland, Has Glasner been Liverpools worst manager in the Premier league era, Has Hodgson won the fa cup, has Hodgson won the Europa league. You're so clueless its funny

Glasner has proven himself to be a good cup manager. In a one off game with the right players all performing at their peak and in a workable system then he has proven himself to be a good manager. (FA cup 6 games to win trophy)
However when he plays in a league, and all the components are not aligned he is at best an average manager. His system gets found out over a longer period and he does not have the ability to adapt and change.
To be a good manager you have to be able to motivate your staff/players, be adaptable and deal with the circumstances you are dealt with, and most importantly be accountable for the results.
This applies to any management role be it in a supermarket, builders merchant or a football club. Unfortunately in my opinion OG is unable to do this, which is why I don’t believe him to be a good manager, despite winning the FA cup.
