Freedman

Following on from the news that DF is leaving, it now transpires that the COO is also off to new pastures, Sharon Lacey.

I think this was known to the club a while ago so I imagine they have either already got her replacement lined up or they are close to doing so.
The media have obviously jumped on this as an 'everyone wants to leave Palace' angle which is reaching at best. The truth is if you asked most Palace fans last week who Sharon Lacey was they would just look at you with a blank expression. Probably great at her job but a definite behind the scenes operative. Blimey next the BBC will be putting up a 'Breaking News' article saying the tea lady has handed in her notice!

Well you can’t have a ‘team’ without ‘tea’.

Rumoured that Spurs are after him, now there is unrest in the Middle East and he wants to leave. Parish could do worse, than make it up with him and get him back to Palace,

As far as we know they didn't fall out.
He wanted a new challenge, turned down newcastle, took a mega million pound paid job in saudi and left with parish's gratitude and well wishes.

Saying you’re ‘looking for a new challenge’ is often just a polite way of describing the very different reasons why you’re leaving an employer.

Firstly - just an opinion - ( I dont know anything)

If your a senior exec, in a prominent position - Sporting Director / Director of football ( whatever the title is that week) Well liked by the chairman, largely doing a good job, some good hits, a few duds but nothing that dosent happen to any other clubs, overall well respected in the club & the industry - a new manager comes in who openly credits you with good work ethic & good achievements - a manager with a record of not staying more than 2 years in any location - maybe there is a disagreement on individual players / direction / strategy etc who really knows, maybe there wasn't - in any event, if there was going to be a power struggle (which again remains as largely tittle tattle) DF would very likely still be in a position long after OG had gone

Does that really sound like a reason to up sticks & try life in KSA ?
