Glasner Out

I agree, I was amazed at that stat. I do wonder if it includes crosses from deep which are hardly ever as effective as cut backs from the line.
Stats can be misleading at times. I like Mitchell and his defending is very solid. Similarly his injury record is fantastic, and this is so important as we've had next to no cover for years.

However, what the stats won't say is how many times he has failed to cross and stop and played it sideways or back. The moment he takes a touch you know the attack has died.

I think he does have a decent cross on him, my big frustration it is rarely a whipped first time effort.
I remember the 3rd goal v Villa a few years ago - first time cross with pace that JP gobbled up.

With Larsen up front we need more of these. His header v Burnley was an early cross (from Lerma) so that should be the blueprint.

He does, as we also saw with the cross for Sarr’s missed header against Mostar. But once in a blue moon is simply not good enough for a highly paid Premier League (England International) professional footballer.

In the Championship? Spurs are heading that way unless they drastically change course.
It'll be for the money 💰💰💰💰💰
And Spurs have never been shy at spending

There are also parallels to be drawn, in that after a cup win, Spuds are bombing down the table

Credit to the board in not giving into his tantrums and outbursts trying to manoeuvre being sacked. By telling him to get on with his job, results have picked up and the Conference League is well within our sights. I guess he will want it on his CV.

I'm hoping for this too.

PL survival was the only real concern and somewhat guaranteed following Saint Totteringham's day. Let's hope sights are set, by all, on that success.

He'll go to Spurs
It would not be a surprise but he wont leave till the end of the season and he wont go there if they go down.
Even if he does join them in the summer its unlikely to be a quick turn around in results there. Theres a lot more rotten in that club than just the playing squad. The whole culture of that club needs to change and that takes time.

Once we all learned that Glasner will not be sacked this has been my biggest hope. That he sees the Conference League as a realistic target and is serious about winning it.
That and an improved league position on, well, ever!

Looking at the players reactions to Glasner last night after the win, in my opinion, I get the impression they have no affection for him. There is no warmth or respect to him like there is to each other or the fans.

Thankfully they have respect for each other and a warmth towards the fans.

Last night that was shown when Deano came up to us after the game & got us to sing the "Pino" chant. You can see how much it meant to Pino who must be feeling unwanted by Glasner.

As I said, just my opinion.

Well now the show appears to be getting back on the road and the players look to be giving their all again
- anyone consider Glasner staying if he changes his mind ?
Haven’t heard anything about the rich clubs going for him
Just a thought

Also whether there was a player to pass to or cross to , there is more than 1 options when you have the ball Mitchell is a better defender than Munoz , and Munoz is a better attacker , but doesn't make Mitchell any less effective , he has had a fantastic season dont cherry pick what you want him to do

I got to admit, Parish calling his bluff and keeping OG here to see out his contract, has worked - so far.
One win away from securing the prem with the age old 'crossing 40 points' and the conference to play for, OG knows he has to leave on a high and it may just pay off.

Makes me interested to see what plans he has for next year tho... lining up candidates now.

Me too, would have been good to see how far (or not) he could have taken us.
I’ve also just found the ‘ignore’ button. Superb!!!!
When I found the ignore button, I discovered all the threads were strangely empty 🙂

But he’s the one who wants to leave and the eternal financial quandary that small/medium size clubs like ours face means valuable players have to be sold to keep the club viable.

The only place he’s going to find virtually unlimited resources and therefore perhaps keep him happy are clubs like United, Bayern, Madrid and Barca and I can’t see any of them taking him on and totally changing their teams to suit his tactics.

As with a lot of managers he strikes me as being an 18 months of success manager followed by a struggle, a falling out and moving on.

I don’t think he was ever going to stay beyond his contract no matter the circumstances.

When he goes are the players more likely to stay. A new manager, multiple systems to suit the oppo and listening to them.

Simply put - Glasner is NOT going to stay. He has honoured (Just about) his 2.5 year contract, and is ready for his next challenge - whether in this country or somewhere else in Europe.

Parish has been through hell, but in my humble opinion has done the right thing by sticking with OG until at the end of the season. I was all for getting rid of the manager - but must admit, I WAS WRONG!

I was at the Spurs game. It was like turning back the clock a few months. Great atmosphere, singing, a huge buzz. At the end, all the players came over and celebrated with us.

It’s almost like everyone has accepted where we are, know what’s coming - so let’s just get on with it.
