Green Party

I think the Green Party had a big part to play in the decline of Brighton & Hove. They have the new big tower, and that's about it. Cycle lanes are under-used and are an inconvenience, whilst car parks and street parking can be difficult to find spaces, and are expensive. Which is a great barometer for Green policies, which are well-meaning, but hugely impractical at this stage.
Residents are getting poor services for their Council Tax. Oh dear. 🙂

Does one drug lead to another more serious one? Is drug addiction more difficult to control/kick than alcohol or smoking? I don't know but it is the slippery slope that I worry about if drugs are legalised. We may start by legalising dope but then somebody will suggest widening the range to crack cocaine, angel dust and whatever else that satisfies the need that milder drugs no longer provide.

There's little data to suggest it does - the vast, vast majority of people who experiment with recreational drugs do so successfully, without escalation or addiction issues - much like with alcohol, there are a minority who struggle.

I would also again make the point that the current status quo is achieving nothing in regard to addiction and those sort of consequences - we already have thousands of people battling addictions in society, and the current approach of criminalising these people achieves nothing at all.

Didn’t the council lose some extraordinary amount of money on tower, or did they somehow recover that?

Dear all, discuss the Green Party on here or take a yellow card.

I'll take a yellow card to call you a rude tit who can barely manage to write full sentences.

Use the ignore function you utter moron.

I think he's alright personally.

Presents his arguments well.

I don't get a sense of hatred in his writings like you do with some.

As long as a person is civilised in their discourse then it doesn't really matter how wildly apart their political opinions are.

I'm always reminded how Michael Foot and Enoch Powell would talk and they even campaigned together once.....and you don't get more opposite than them....though it helped how they were in the same social class.

well fair enough Sterling. But if a thread is called 'Eskimos and Polar Bears' then its irritating when it becomes a long discussion of the Traffic One Way system around the Crystal Palace triangle.
That other HOL-Eagle seems to divert EVERY thread.

Thread diversions don't really bother me that much.

I'm as guilty as anyone.

But I hear you, I know it annoys you.

The Green party only have one good thing about them as far as I'm concerned.

I also want some women to have larger breasts

I'm willing to try some breast whispering on selected models.....free of charge even.....I know, I know....but don't thank me.

I'm willing to give like that.

you're ok Eagle. I had put the Commissar of the Cornwall Commune onto ignore for generally being boring, tedious, and uninteresting to read. And also for diverting every thread.

now...........Green Party.
Vote for them if you like the Ulez.

Should we try it and see how long we can go before it's all Trump's fault whatever is happening to the Eskimos and bears 🤣

For that relationship to work the polar bear would have to be really up for it - they can be a bit confrontational.
you never met my ex ? any type of Polar Bear would be far less intimidating & aggressive.

Anyhoo..........the Green Party.
in the 'Look who's back" comedy skit about Hitler. He said he would defo be joining the Greens. And it all makes perfect sense. Cos when you are always correct and on a Holy mission, democracy can take a running jump.
