The hysteria from some on here is imo a bit embarrassing. Yes we are on a bad run but there have been reasons for that that are largely resolved. Having no choice but to keep starting JPM was a big one and a reason why we failed to win so many games. Dont take my word for it look at the stats. In nearly all the games mentioned we created more than enough chances to win the game had we had a striker on the pitch that doesn't need 5 chances to score 1 goal. Thats a stat that has nothing to do with Glasner when there is no other recognized striker available. No one is saying JSL is a saviour but he can finish if you put chances in front of him. Going forward I'd expect him to grab 10 goals plus before the end of the season.
Then you look at other positions we have struggled with up until recently. Guessand looked good against Brighton. Not so much against Burnley but I like him. He offers something different. And we are yet to see the best of Brennan Johnson. A quality player I feel sure will come alive soon.
Defensively we are weaker than we were for obvious reasons but only hard work on the training ground can improve that. Munoz has come back from his injury less effective but this could just be managing his injury/building fitness. In short I think we have grounds to be optimistic. I believe not just Glasner but the players too see a very real chance to win the Conference League. That shared goal keeps everyone pulling in the same direction.
Looking at league position I really honestly dont see what all the fuss is about. There are four teams between us and the bottom 3. That means five teams (including West Ham in 3rd bottom position) that have to do better than us for there even to be a chance of us going down. People say Ooh but look at our form. Has anyone looked at the other club's form? Forrest? Same form as us, Spurs? Doing worse than we are, Brighton? Way worse than us. Even Fulham who are 2 points better off than us are on a worse run that us having lost 4 of their last 5.

I said the other day I no longer believe we'll win the Conference League. The reason for that is because Glasner cannot overcome a low block defence and nearly everyone we face in this competition seems to play the same way. I also said I believed we will stay up comfortably and we'll probably finish around the same position we are now. My feeling hasn't changed. All this Glasner out rhetoric is counter productive. Whatever any of us want Parish has decided he sees out his contract. He's leaving at the end of the season anyway so I dont see why getting behind the team and being patient to see what happens in the summer instead of whining that you want something to happen that is clearly not going to.

I don’t see any hysteria, that’s just you slagging off your fellow Palace fans as you often do with your, I know more than you do comments.

The reason for concerns are there for all to see. Poor form, lack of an alternative plan in-game, poor relationship between the manager and the fans, undoubted stress in the dressing room between the manager and players, toxic relationship with Mateta.

All of these whether significant individually or not are reflected in on field performances more particularly the complete capitulation against Burnley when apparently cruising. That was down primarily due to a lack of leadership on the field and ended up a worrying result especially when we couldn’t turn it around.

Yes, we should have enough in the squad to stay up and ultimately I think we will, but I thought exactly the same when we went down with 40 plus points.

This is not hysteria, it’s a genuine concern and something that will perpetuate if we lose the next two matches. We need to see a turnaround in game management and and more awareness and confidence in defence. Someone needs to take the team by the scruff of the neck and demand better performances and that starts with a strong on field captain and a together dressing room.

Glasner wants roasting for what he has done to Palace at a crucial point in the season giving Parish an awful decision on whether to stick or twist. I’ll always appreciate what he did to win us the FA Cup, however I now want him out yesterday.

This is the yardstick by which he measures the team’s performance.
With this in mind the evidence is that he has failed in this regard over the last 2 months.
There are contributory reasons of course, it’s not just down to him, but ultimately he’s responsible for the team’s performance.
Looking back now I would say we’re not as good as that long unbeaten run suggested, and we’re not as bad as indicated by last two months - we’re somewhere in between and that’s why another mid table finish looks likely.

What has surprised me is Glasner’s apparent inability to react to in game circumstances , whether that’s defending set pieces or innovating to unsettle teams.
It’s all too comfortable against us for the opposition.

That said if OG did manage to start/keep winning until the end of the season, and do well in Europe and the league. I would be happy for him to stay and then fcuk off in the summer.

There were some flakey performances during that run, but the difference from them to now was the grit and belief to see the result through, something decidedly lacking in today's version of the side. No belief, no leadership, evident by what is happening on the pitch, excepting Larsen the rest are going through the motions.

That’s the issue.

I would and have always forgiven Palace teams for being a bit sh!t, it almost doesn’t even feature in my thinking as to whether they are or not.

It’s the lack of commitment which bothers me. There’s a few out there however many more who don’t even look present whilst on the pitch.

That’s what p!sses me off and that’s where I identify the manager as the cause, especially when he fails to find a solution.
