But could Olise do it while getting kicked all over the place with no protection from referees and on a muddy pitch…….like Vince Hilaire 😎Palace's greatest ever player by a country mile (albeit only 2 years with us) is Michael Olise. No one else is that close.

If the old buggers remember 🤣 it was against Coventry I thinknoooo do you have witnesses 🤣

Capone?Super Al.

For it to fit into the song, we'd have to accentuate the e in Capone. Which is probably the proper Italian pronunciation. Al, Al, Super Al, Super Al Capon-e.Capone?
Think I missed that game did we get him from southend or Colchester or did we loan to them 🤣If the old buggers remember 🤣 it was against Coventry I think

Fair point, even in the dreadful Mullery era with all the old donkeys we were signing we had Kevin Mabbutt who was a great little playerPalace have nearly always had one or two really exciting players on the pitch over the years.
I did mention Martin Hinshelwood who was young from Taylors time sadly injury cut short his career , the players around him knew how to play , not world beaters but knew how to get the best from the younger players ,Fair point, even in the dreadful Mullery era with all the old donkeys we were signing we had Kevin Mabbutt who was a great little player
Must admit I’m struggling to think of an ‘exciting’ player in the Peter Taylor era though, but in general I think you’re right, we’ve always got someone to get us off seats

I was talking about his management era. But my old brain seems to remember McAnuff and Black had gone by the time Taylor took over, and much as I liked Michael Hughes, I’m not sure he comes into the category of ‘exciting’ and I was never really a fan of Ben WatsonI did mention Martin Hinshelwood who was young from Taylors time sadly injury cut short his career , the players around him knew how to play , not world beaters but knew how to get the best from the younger players ,
Or was you talking managerial if so sure we did , Ben Watson Michael Hughes Jobi mcanuff Tommy Black last one just loved watching him but had more , just Peter Taylor couldn't get them to play like the England kids did 🥲
Both did tommy didn't leave until end of 2007 window think jobi was the sameI was talking about his management era. Decent players at that time, but not really at the same level of Vince, Wrighty, Wilf, Bolasie, Olise for giving you that buzz as they burst forward and getting you off your seatBoth did tommy didn't leave until end of 2007 window think jobi was the same
Not sure that's quite true as the player who started the most games with Cabaye was Zaha(69) ;although Ward and Hennessey do come nextTwo players who joined CP and both were head and shoulders above their new team mates.
Attilo Lombardo and Yohan Cabaye
Vince and Wright didn't get me off my seat I was standing in Whitehouse or holmesdale 🤣Decent players at that time, but not really at the same level of Vince, Wrighty, Wilf, Bolasie, Olise for giving you that buzz as they burst forward and getting you off your seat
Just had a look on Wikipedia about Wayne he is not a well man has some sort of kidney disease focal segmentation glomerulosclerosis sad news ,I was in the Whitehorse and witnessed a lesser spotted Wayne Andrew goal as well

That is a shame, much as we ridicule his time with us,one way or another he’s part of our history and you don’t wish these players ill health obviouslyJust had a look on Wikipedia about Wayne he is not a well man has some sort of kidney disease focal segmentation glomerulosclerosis sad news ,
also his son plays for young boys

He was better than plenty of others we've had. Best of luck to him. I hope he remembers his time here fondly. That is a shame, much as we ridicule his time with us,one way or another he’s part of our history and you don’t wish these players ill health obviously
