My wife has little interest in politics whilst my children, especially the eldest, are and understand very well what Article 50 was about. If I am a narcissist then I am not very good at it. Mind you I don’t apply orange make up just to my face and demand all my colleagues are yes men.

I am not just glad not to be you I would be seriously concerned if I detected any similarities.

I think most are. It’s not the general principle of a voter proving their entitlement it’s the restrictions and specific requirements that the Federal Government seeks to impose. Things that would disadvantage participation by specific groups. It’s 100% a political move. One unlikely to succeed.

Voter ID is just common sense election security like showing ID to buy alcohol, board a plane, or drive a car and open a bank account. Did you require your tenants to show you ID and bank statements before renting your properties to them? I certainly did.

No issues in the UK or Europe. There will be no issues in the US.

The real political move would be opposing basic verification that protects every legitimate vote.

Obama had no problem showing his ID. 👍

🤣 there was/is no such thing as a Brexshitter. My dad was running a small business in early 70s and was totally against joining the EC but had to accept it, as did most of the population, unless you can provide evidence to the contrary. This was when it was nowhere near the shitshow it is now.

Perhaps you cannot read? More likely you only ever think you see what your prejudices want to be there. Most people accept the need for voter ID, including the Democrats. That is not, and never has been the objection. It’s the Federal Government trying to take over the process and make itself responsible for disqualification of voters that’s objected to. Their motives and methods being mistrusted. This is a constitutional responsibility of individual States. Not the President.
