Kamada

I rate him in the games that he has been outstanding, which is quite a few, but his slow start at the club didn't do him any favours and the guy did bloody well to turn it around. He'll probably go in the summer then there'll be someone else to take his place in the firing line. We'll agree to disagree. Have a marvellous evening

He's outstanding in most games. Stands out as out of his depth

Are we watching the same player? Yes, he played OK on the FA Cup run, but otherwise very average and too lightweight for me. Hughes and Wharton certainly work better together. Describing him as "immense" a "deft" passer, "superb" and a "legend" are surely hype of the highest order.
Are you Spindle and sprites lovechild?😂

Kamada is just a bad player with bad instincts, and it seems much of the game the other 10 are in some way fixing his mistakes. For every 1 decent play he makes, he drops 5 dreg plays. Please just bench him for anybody else-- Devenny, anyone please.

Looking at Burnley's first goal... i took notes starting from minute 35... CP up 2-nil... everything pretty solid...

38:34 ... Kamada near midfield, loses ball, and i don't understand what the F he was doing, but somehow clumsily passed backwards to a Burnley dude... they went on break... got into box-- Lerma had only enough time for a frantic clear to a Burnley guy at midfield, who immediately pushed forward, again got into box on the right... on the assist for the goal, Kamada is standing like a freakin traffic cone with his feet together, so the assist was easy cuz Kamada had zero chance to deflect or at least deter with his feet... grrrrr... idiot announcer called out Wharton alone.

41:29 ... please explain what Kamada is thinking here... CP starts to pressure... ball in box... it pops up towards Kamada standing like 30 yards from goal... Kamada kicks it with his left foot, sideways to his right... giving Burnley the ball and a fast break across midfield... what the F ?? Palace had to scramble back and stopped the advance, but this type of sh-t is exhausting for Palace, constantly worrying about what crappy play or pass or flub this guy is going to make...

By the way, on the F-ing handball, the Burnley guy corraled the ball back in front of himself, allowing a quick pass leadi g to a goal. So freakin stupid that it was allowed. The Burnley players and Parker were basically stifling laughs and almost shrugging sheepishly cuz they knew they got a gift.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble here. I havent even gotten into discussing how Kamada typically kills fast breaks-- where he could press forward, he'll stop like a pylon 10 yards over midfield and of course pass backwards... Kamada is somehow usually always in the wromg posution and has horrible instincts... unwatchable.

Chalobah made inexcusable dumb flubs in his short time at CP... Canvot has been the 3rd disaster guy, but at least he's only 19 or whatever so it can be excused as a learning experience.

Munoz is by far the key, such a great player... dude is aggressive and active and has an excellent feel for the game. He's like the anti-Kamada.

To me, ineffective players aren't necessarily disasters. Sometimes Mitchell and Wharton vanish for long periods-- not ideal but at least it's neutral. But it's the Kamada types who are so annoying-- they contribute nothing, but they combine that with freakin dreg passes and stupidity.

Fantastic post, great analysis of what happened and I'm glad you picked out his 'not me handball' self immobilisation defending too.

Some people can't see it.

Or perhaps he's just a good footballing brain who can identify the strengths and (many) weaknesses of a player.

The implication from this post and others seems to be that neither Glasner, nor any of the managers who have favoured Kamada in his career, have ‘a good footballing brain’. There’s a fella citing how many goals he scored for a supporters club to boost his credentials, while ignoring the take of a Europa League winning manager.

Surely the more likely conclusion is that elite managers and coaches see things that the average fan doesn’t, rather than the other way round?

We have a political leader in charge of the country who you wouldn’t trust to help you cross the road, so people in charge are not always correct.

It is wise to use your own eyes when assessing performances. They don’t lie. Kamada makes costly mistakes in games and he’s done it from day 1 that he joined us.

We're so lucky on here to have all these fans whole heartily supporting the players wearing the shirt who give 100% every game. Imagine how the player would feel reading confidence destroying comments all time, being called shite when only 9 months ago they were lifting the FA Cup and Community Shield not long after!

Not on here though😬

(Short memories)

Why take it to an emotional level? They are professional footballers. Mistakes and poor play are part and parcel of it and they have to accept criticism if performance is sub par.

If he was playing fantastic football week in week out do you think anyone would criticise him?

Check out Wharton's mistakes of late fella, just saying. Even Danny's, and definitely Lerma who makes more than a few.
All players make mistakes but constant slagging off does nothing but destroy confidence. Unfortunately because of Kamada's poor start to the Prem he became the scapegoat and is constantly scrutinised. If he goes it will be Pino, then Devenny, then Johnson.....
Try getting behind Kamada instead of a witch hunt.

So all the other players have been playing fantastic football every week for the last few months?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I don't think he's necessarily a bad player but rather one whose game doesn't suit the PL. He scored about 1 in 6 in Germany - often after a late run into the box and putting the ball away calmly and he scores for Japan but for Palace in 50 league games he's got 1 assist and 0 goals. Maybe the game here is too quick for him or he hasn't settled in England but whatever the reason if he hasn't produced playing for a manager who likes and trusts him he's unlikely to in the future.

The players aren't giving 100% and they get paid very well for it. Is there then some reason they deserve 100% from us?

Fans are entitled to their opinion, these players are paid riches that we can only dream of and if they have a bad game or games and are not doing their job, even they will expect criticism. Yes constant barracking of a player wouldn’t help, but that doesn’t happen to any player at games, fans generally get behind all the players.
I seriously doubt any of the players will be coming on here to read the drivel, and even if they do I doubt they’ll lose any sleep over it.

Glasner only has one approach to playing football. That's why we're in the position we are now. Even when things are horrendous, he's incapable of flexing even slightly.

When that one way of playing is going well, Kamada is a really useful cog. When that way is not working, as it has not been, Kamada is a spanner in an already malfunctioning works.

Glasner's inability and/or unwillingness to change anything dictates that no attention is given to anything pragmatic whatsoever, including dropping or introducing players into the first XI relative to performance or circumstances.

Same team, same approach, regardless of just how sh!t it is and has been. If things started to click again, Kamada would receive plenty of praise. Whilst things are in the gutter, the view of Kamada will be too.

There's nothing about Kamada that shouts "keep!" He's distinctly ordinary, there's nothing about him that says 100k per week, a ridiculous figure, and Parish must be looking to cut the wage bill.
Apparently we're putting a bid in for his brother Hiromu Kamada. That should please you all....only joking😂
