Well, for a start, they set out from France. Why should the French stop them? We're not in the EU. There's no law that says you're not allowed to put to sea in a dinghy.

You say detain them. Where would you detain them? If you did detain them, for just 24 hours, where would you then send them to? Back to their own countries? Where would that be if they have no Id?

Rwanda has already been tried but that solution lasted 5 minutes. This is not rocket science, it's politics and the answer will be political, surely and that presents problems. Otherwise, why didn't the Rwanda proposal succeed, for instance?

Restore tell us that all asylum would be stopped; Do you agree with that?

How would policing with the navy work? Sinking the boats? Rounding the boats/people up and detaining them? Where?
So, if, by chance, somebody succeeded in getting past the navy and they were within our borders, you are proposing that they receive no welfare. What exactly does that mean? What would they receive? and how?

Well, the question of veracity could be posed of all political parties when it comes to manifestos, over the years, I think.

However, if, for example, I voted for a candidate who was then elected I wouldn't be happy in the slightest if they defected to another party; quite the opposite. There should be a by-election, in my opinion. No matter which party.
