Yup. There was a warrant out for his arrest when he fled to the US on a holiday visa. They fail to mention that. 🤣

Also sure he was offered voluntary deportation last year and refused and went into custody himself 🤷‍♂️

I pointed out the fact of what the law is and disputed it's influence on the UK being out or in. You are the one chucking in bizarre links that I've not mentioned.

My brother moved to Denmark, he's now fluent in Danish. My cousin went to Cyprus, speaks Greek, a mate of mine went to Greece just for work for a few years, learned Greek. Cousin in law's moved to France, now speak French.

People learn to get on and succeed. If you import whole communities, put them together , and give them benefits and language support, they don't need to learn in order to live, so they don't learn.

These language and culture barriers are not a strength.

They don't need to. They are retired, self sufficient and not sponging. They also don't have huge cultural differences to their hosts.

when you move to a new country, you can often crack the basics of the language in only a month or two. Full immersion and all that.
The UK seems to have a lot of mail-order brides who arrived in as teenagers, had a ton of kids and never bothered to learn English. Often speaking the village language with their UK born husband. And sometimes the kids grow up good.......sometimes not so good ?
