Glasner Out

It was actually Lerma, who crossed the ball for Larsen to score. But your comments are valid, taking off game changers was bizarre. The second half showed Glasner has no idea, if his system fails, just throwing on players in blind hope, it was a total shambles. Then he blames Henderson for lack of leadership on the pitch.
It seems, it's never his fault, always someone else's fault. If he stood up and took responsibility, he would get a bit more respect.
Just perused this on the 'Highlights'.
I noticed Munoz involved in the build-up but then my gaze was momentarily focused on the players in the penalty area.
Ball was crossed in from a position where Munoz delivers from out on the right.I missed the delivery !

I agree but you can guarantee someone on here will support each and every one of those purchases.
I’ll give it a go:

Pino - nice wine is always good
Esse - we needed somebody ready to replace Eze and his name sounds quite similar
Johnson - upset some Spurs fans
Franca - we all need some Franca advice now and then plus it created jobs for local medical staff
Nketiah - nope why am I bothering its indefensible isn’t it?

playing a bit of devil's advocate here around Glasner's system being rigid. He started the 11 that impacted the game against Brighton. He took off Munoz for an attacker so that shows him trying to change the system to impact the game and overcome the low block. He also put all of our attacking players on the pitch and yes that did throw the system out of the window somewhat but he did make subs and did change things during the game. What more could he have done with the players at his disposal yesterday? I'm not trying to make a case for Glasner in so please don't pile on, it's purely a take on what I saw last night, outside of a mad 9 minutes in the first half.

Glasner blaming the players is the last straw. His tactics don't work any more. We need more players in midfield, so 4-4-2 makes more sense. I thought JSL was excellent last night, but Sarr, Johnson or Nketiah need to play up front with him. My team would be:

Henderson
Richards
 Rhiad
Lacroix (Captain)
Mitchell
Sarr
Wharton
Hughes
Guessand
Strand Larson
Johnson

December 8th.......
That's incredible.
We were 4th on December 8th and still in all four competitions.
In two short months we are now on the fringe of the relegation zone and out of 2 competitions.
In some ways it's reminiscent of the drop off in form during Pardew's season, but I believe this is worse.
I think I heard that it's our worst season so far for home form since 1997.
There have been many unacceptable performances in recent weeks with players not even doing the basics.
I hope the sale of Guehi doesn't prove to be a false economy.
Sure you recover £20 million, but at what cost?

He could have subbed Kamada at half time. He could have pushed Lerma into holding midfielder and narrowed a back four. We could have had a five man defensive unit and a five man attacking unit. It's really not that radical.

Selling Guehi hasn’t helped but the rot has set in before that. Even with Guehi here we started conceding from set pieces, lacking defensive organisation and stopped being able to pass out from the back. He didn’t exactly cover himself in glory at Macclesfield.

If you look at the timeline then according to Glasner he told the club he was leaving in October. Results and form drop off a cliff 5 weeks later and it’s getting worse not better. I think that tells you everything about what has gone wrong. We have a manager who doesn’t want to be here and doesn’t care how we do

I think he has created this extreme atmosphere within the club by stating he is leaving - if we win, everyone is buzzing. If we lose, the atmosphere is horrific. He's a very formulaic manager and you can see that he clearly cares about the club and the success of the team but he's always had a weakness - the low block. We're likely to come up against that in all of our next 3 games.

The question shouldn't be if Glasner should go or not - he is going and he has his expiration date. The question should be, who do we replace him with? If our ideal manager isn't available now, then I don't see a reason to change it. The names being suggested, Thomas Frank, Sean Dyche, Roger Schmidt - all of these are not renowned for breaking a low block and therefore seems a bit pointless to swap Glasner for one of those now.

We're closer to 7th in the league than the relegation zone....

It is certainly NOT in Glasner's interests to have a relegation on his CV but this is where we appear to be heading at this juncture.
No other team in the PL this season would have lost to struggling Burnley at home after taking a 2-0 lead.
Supporters might have been lulled into a sense of security after the Brighton result, a team incidentally that only recorded 1 win in their previous 11 PL games.
Last night's capitulation and debacle against Burnley was deeply concerning.
The atmosphere could become really toxic against Wolves.

To make the discussion as concise as possible: the results since Glasner told Parish he was not going to sign another contract and therefore would be leaving at the end of the season speak for themselves. Coincidentally the bad run of form began around the same time as the announcement. Surprise? Something has been lost along the way, it's blatantly evident on the pitch.
What else is there to argue about?

Sorry but his actions since Xmas tell us the exact opposite. He even said himself he didn’t care
