All I want to see is a manager that actually wants to be here and will be here for awhile. I am so sick of the turn over. The board need to be 100% straight with whoever comes in about the fact we do everything slowly and last minute if at all. Any manager coming in should also look very closely with what has happened here in the time we have been in the premier league. The ones who could make a leap forward walked or will walk very quickly. Roy was amazing for what he did but he was right at the very end of his managing career and was just happy to still be involved at the top level and took what came his way. He probably deserves much more credit that some of us gave him, me included because it must have been so frustrating to deal with.

Right now, I hate to say it but I can see Dyche or his type being the next appointment. It will be a case of a tiny step forward having won some silverware and the board will be happy with maybe pushing to finish 10th/9th for the next few years. No dramas.

If we finish 10th or 9th that is big success for us. Let’s face it we are never getting into the Champions League places or anything like that. Right now though 10th or 9th feels light years away. Where we are now means 17th would be a success and carry on as we are and it will be a big struggle to get there

With a striker who can actually head it I really would be tempted to go 4-4-2 playing Pino on the right and Sarr off JSL. Alternatively go 4-3-3 with Hughes and Lerma being defensive and Wharton a bit higher up. Either way recognise teams have worked out the current system

It has to be this. Last night it was standing out a mile.
Guehi was clearly holding the five at the back system together.

Maybe, but they are all a bit of a risk aren't they? Frank did well on a budget at Brentford, they played decent attacking fast paced football. Hard to judge him with Spurs as they were a s*** show when he joined them. I guess we need to find someone who 'gets' us. Quite who that is is anyone's guess though. It's surely not Glasner anymore.

Glasner has been well and truly found out. His tactics are not working at all. How many other teams constantly persist with a one trick pony when the pony is well and truly broken? None.

Eze and Guehi gone, Glasner, JPM and Kamada going ( perhaps with one or two others).
These were key components in our success last season.

It's not an ideal backdrop for a possible relegation battle.
I'm not sure that Glasner anymore that Glasner is the ideal candidate for such a battle as he seems to have lost focus and his methods have been found wanting.

He still hasn't sorted out our defending from set pieces as we concede almost every game from one.
Rather than the slick machine we were last season we look chaotic and resemble a bunch of strangers, passing without purpose and with a lack of leadership displayed on the field.
If anything we look worse with the substitutions Glasner makes during games - it's almost a case of throwing them on and just hoping for the best.

I think Glasner will remain in place for the next 3 games (2 European fixtures and the Wolves home game).
After that there's a break for a number of weeks without a game.
I hope that Parish is sorting out alternatives as a replacement for after the Wolves game should that be necessary.
Throwing lots of money with seemingly no strategy of how (and whether) the players fit in seems more akin to a West Ham transfer plan rather than a Palace one.
The buck stops with Glasner for on field matters, but the executive management of the club sure hasn't helped.

As well as being found out you can see the players are no longer playing for him. As he himself said last night players are showing a lack of concentration, intensity and effort. That’s disgusting by the players but no surprise. When you have a manager who doesn’t want to be here, says he doesn’t care and takes zero responsibility then why should they? As others have said the players look unfit and disorganised which tells you they aren’t training properly.

If Glasner is in place for the next three games we will be closer to the relegation places and out of Europe (which would be disappointing but not necessarily a bad thing for our relegation fight). Get rid now while something can be salvaged from an awful season

I concur with these sentiments.
Taking Munoz off was totally bizarre.He setup Strand Larsen for the headed goal and his crosses looked threatening in the second half.
Equally bizarre was substituting Wharton the only player capable of producing that incisive pass as we witnessed in our opening goal.Scott Parker must have been delighted that these players were replaced.
Bringing on Uche was the 'Final straw' for me.NOT a player I hold in great esteem.
Indeed "Throwing them on and just hoping for the best".

Agree with you with the need to go to 4 at the back sans Guehi. Glasner was right to bring it in at the time, because it suited the players we had at the time. But as we have decided not to replace Guehi and instead sign wingers and a big striker requiring crosses, if he won't change his system we will continue to be porous at the back. As good as Lacroix is, he can't hold it together without Guehi anymore.

We have had our proverbial trousers pulled down by some selling teams and our scouting is obviously a mess.

We have bought two expensive right sided forwards who we didn’t need because Sarr has that position nailed down when we actually needed a specialist left sided player. Absolutely crazy decisions.

It was actually Lerma, who crossed the ball for Larsen to score. But your comments are valid, taking off game changers was bizarre. The second half showed Glasner has no idea, if his system fails, just throwing on players in blind hope, it was a total shambles. Then he blames Henderson for lack of leadership on the pitch.
It seems, it's never his fault, always someone else's fault. If he stood up and took responsibility, he would get a bit more respect.
