Surely you appreciate that it's because overall Wharton is miles better? I presume you aren't seriously comparing Esse to Wharton generally?
Wharton has frustrated many of us lately but that's only because he is falling short here and there of what he has already shown he is capable of.
I know it's all paper talk about Wharton moving for big money until it actually happens, but I doubt all the papers have it wrong and it's actually Esse that both Manchester clubs, Liverpool, Real Madrid etc are interested in.
Of course different degrees of tolerance will apply to mistakes when one player has run games for us time and again and the other has done all but nothing so far.
