Where the F**K was all this money in the summer!

But that is the understood procedure. A a hypothetical, would Liverpool pay Newcastle 20 million if they sold Isak for a loss at 100 million
There are different clauses. Some are percentage of profit on sale and some are percentage of sale. Different clauses, different procedures.

Which one is included, we would have to see the document. All we can go on are media reports.

what the hell has happened? Where did all this money come from? If we get the Strand and McNeil plus Johnson etc… where did all that money come from and why all of sudden? So strange
67m Eze transfer deadline sale 20m guehi thats 87m of what was spent

Eze was £60m upfront, of which QPR got either 15% or 20% of the profit so £6 or 8m.

Chelsea appear to have got 20% of the money received for MG , not the profit, so that's £4m.

So your £87m is already reduced to c£68m.

In the summer we bought Pino for c£26m and Canvot for £20m and of course Johnson joined earlier in the window for £35m. So that's c£80m spent before the Larsen money.

so we topped it up so really we havent spent anymore than what we have in the past we already had half , winning the FA cup gave us extra revenue as in sale of shirts sponsorship so on and so on , hopefully win CL and get stadium started , our profile will get bigger but its still small steps , we wont be spending like Jan unless we have sold in the summer

A large proportion of the Larsen money will be offset by what we get for Mateta when he goes. So don't expect many signings this summer...

Not sure what you mean by topped up.

FA Cup money - prize money, gate receipts, tv income would have been nice but not huge - maybe the equivalent of 2 higher prem league places (c£6m) and who knows what bonuses the manager and players were on, if any, to win silverware.

The point is we didn't get as much money from players sales as people think due to % to previous clubs and add ons not being paid on day 1.

This money has been spent this transfer window and in previous ones.

Agreed and this might become a problem given:

1. Guehi replacement not yet secured (Maybe that is Riad, or Canvot, or maybe not).
2. Kamada expected to leave - first team starter. No fee will be received.
3. Lerma is out of contract - is he expected to leave? If so that's another first team regular. No fee would be received.
4. Clyne is likely coming to the end of his career. He was needed this year given injury to Munoz. No fee will be received.
5. Munoz rumoured to want a move.
6. Mateta explicitly wanting a move.
7. Some clubs sniffing around Wharton.

It is a time of great change to the first team and we will not be coining it in for every first team player likely to move on. Actually the more I read the above list back the more worrying it looks.

I think we need to be very on the ball with new signings.

And there was me starting to relax after Brighton.

There was a budget for transfers for the season without sales and one with sales , we had 2 sales which brought in 80m minus costs , so they have worked out layouts v rules , there was a article about what we had to spend think close to 100m to go outside the rules , So there was more in the kitty from the sales , Have worked with Budget setting on a smaller scale , but its was very similar , I had to way up cost v loss of production , the lines was producing 1100 bottles a minute lol

We have until June 30th to balance the books, i expect Muñoz, Mateta and Kamada to be gone, not Wharton he has 3 more years left to grow in value

Unless Douciure comes back close to his previous ability, midfield is definitely going to be an issue. Even if Lerma stays, he may be utilized more at the back and Hughes will likely be on the wane. Devenney is a useful utility player but not a PL quality starter and Kamada is off.
It may be necessary to cash in on Wharton assuming we get good offers and we have some alternatives lined up. It is interesting to see that the three young midfielders who were most touted to go for massive sums this summer are all having underwhelming seasons. Wharton is not performing to last season's standard, Baleba has been shocking for Brighton - only lasting 2 of his 16 starts and Anderson has not been outstanding in a relegation-threatened team (he made a horrendous error for one of Leeds goals on Friday)

There is 3 ifs there , Mateta yes Clyne I would have thought so , the rest are paper talk so stop worrying , 1 , there's nothing we can do 2 , the club would be talking to the others about there plans ,

It is not paper talk that Lerma and Kamada have contracts which will expire. Nor is it paper talk we would get no fee if they walk.

Yes there is: we could have sourced a replacement. OG stated we were looking to do just that in the transfer window but it did not happen.

True - but with so little time left on the contracts of Kamada/Lerma the players and their agents hold all the cards. Agree with you in respect of Mateta, Munoz and Wharton.

It was only on assumption that Lerma and Kamada are not going to sign new contracts was the paper talk , im sure Lerma would sooner sign , and Kamada you can never know what a exit player will do , Cabaye stayed for another year and a half after Pardew went

Ah ok yes understood. I hope Lerma signs I think he is a cracking little player who stands up to be counted when it matters.

Its going to be a busy window.

Personally I'd offer Lerma and Kamada contracts. Accepting is another matter.

There is a lot of chatter about us going after a CB in Jan, so I suspect that will happen in the summer.

Ideally JP and Nketiah go for decent fees. (Which cover Guessard and back up for JSL)

I'd keep Wharton for another season.

Ideally keep Munoz, but woudlnt stop him if he could secure a dream move.

They do, but there will be other factors.

Lerma is 31, he'll probably be after at least a 2 year extension, so might prioritise a club that can do that. Looks to be good mates with Munoz, so he may stick around if Danny does.

Kamada is hard to read. But clear that manager is important to him.
