Tom Waits is IMO is in a class and Genre of his own, Great is an understatement for him, the album Small Change is my favorite album of all time
 
One that had the opposite effect was Luther Vandross singing Dance With my Father Again. I always imagined the volley of abuse that would have ensued if I'd asked my old man if he wanted to dance with me.

I first met Kirsty when she worked in Bonaparte records in Croydon and was lucky enough to count her as a good friend.

Losing her was tragic and this song just reminds me of the times we spent just chatting and chilling.

But problem came when my eldest left primary school and her class lines up and sang it at their leavers assembly. My poor daughter was embarrassed by the overly weeping father in the second row.
