Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Lets see how much better we look next week when he's back to partner Wharton 🙂

The counterattacking football that we are set up to play, cannot and does not work with Lerma and Hughes type players. Their passing and vision just isn't up to it.
You’ve got to win the ball from the opposition first. Actually make tackles and interceptions. Kamada and Wharton are not up to that. Hence the need for one of each.

It doesn't help that we play 6 defenders, only 2 midfielders, and only 3 attacking players

I think one clairing problem is we have no goal scores in midfield. Think you could count the goals from midfield on one hand.
Hughes 0
Wharton 0
Kamada 1?
Lerma1
Believe these numbers are right but sure someone will point out my errors
Sigh. I’ll say it again. The system is not conducive to goals from midfield. I’ve studied the 3-4-3 as part of my licence and if those two pivots are scoring, it’s not working as it should. Hence why Glasner was frustrated at Hughes shooting from distance yesterday. Goals come from the front three and the wing backs.

Have we scored yet?
No you all left early, that whistle was actually for an offside. The game is ongoing and a couple of times we almost got into the Forest penalty area

Stay tuned for updates

Mateta has just poked his head round the side of the holmesdale with a Milan shirt visible under his jumper asking if he can join in. Strand Larsen is laughing yet crying watching us pass sideways and backwards

have you spoken to coventry fans , he wasnt even in the game after coming on , other games yes he showed some skill but kept losing the ball , he is a long way off prem level , but he is playing for a good championship team , but he hasnt finished his schooling he needs to learn , at the moment he his very hit and miss . I hope he does come good but he is only showing championship level at the moment , why cant you understand that , as for highlighted pot kettle black comes to mind , and also im most proberly 40 years older than you so dont insult me by calling me Lad
because he was put on the left wing when hes a natural rw. When he moved over to the right wing at around the 80th minute mark he was instantly the most dangerous player on the pitch.

I get the switching but I was told by 2 Coventry fans he was still trying to much instead of passing , they have both said he his frustrating instead of beat one then look to pass he doesn't look up , which goes back to what I said about him , he has to learn , to take the step up to premier thats is his task , then if he does then he would be good to us

Yes, it was seeing what Michael Olise was doing for us at such a young age that personifies what you're saying. Michael could and would get past two players but then thread through a sneaky set up for a team mate to produce a goal: vision.

On around 2 mins 39 secs is a perfect example, I think
