What if we get no one this Jan Window

I have an idea about a situation comedy for a football club but am concerned about it not being commissioned as it’s too far fetched.

It concerns a football club with it’s greatest ever manager winning it’s first ever major trophy as well as the longest unbeaten run in it’s history.
That same club then can’t win a game and ends up on the fringes of the relegation zone and gets knocked out of the cup by the lowest ranked team in the competition as well as suffering the indignity of losing at home to the mighty Larnaca in Europe.

Meanwhile the manger warns the club 3 times about broken commitments and lack of transfer activity warning that ‘the club will pay the price.’
The manager is unhappy, advising that he will leave at then end of the season.
And guess what , at that point the club splash the cash and buy a brand new forward line ( assuming Larsen and Guessand both join Johnson).
The manager ponders….if only this had happened in August…..

More seriously I have no real understanding of football finances, but heard a theory that this is the last window that we can splash the cash as from the summer new rules kick in which would have the effect of curtailing our ability to spend.

We've seen both players now and I'm not impressed. If you are that's fine. Although I doubt it.
Just pointing out that at one stage we would have gone all out for either or both of these players and in regard to Guessand much frustration was expressed that we dithered and lost him.
Now folk are none too impressed with them as current signings ! Who’d be a DoF or Football Club Chairman.

We can only really judge what we see. Guessand was fine when we were linked but has not worked out for Villa. Alarm bells.
Strand Larsen looked ok abroad but has consistently disimproved in England. Alarm bells.
I fail to see how the club can't see that. Neither are worth the money touted. It's not my money so whatever.
However, that we seriously cannot find a striker better anywhere in Europe, or even the world, or the vanarama League. Alarm bells.
I feel like the club does indeed have Cunce tattooed on its forehead with deals as poor value as this.

Finding strikers who score regularly is difficult. Arsenal league leaders top scorer has 5 and own goals on 4 outshine the rest.

BBC reporting this earlier this week: "Mateta, since his remarkable upturn in form over the past 18 months, has always made clear his desire to play at the highest level and has aims of playing in the Champions League and representing France at the World Cup."

How is that compatible with a move to Forest? I can't make it make sense.
It’d be compatible with Juve, as things stand. Like us in UECL, they’ve got a UCL playoff coming with the chance to go Round of 16.

Alternatively, Forest are in a playoff spot in UEL, and Villa have secured UEL R16. UEL is still a step-up on UECL, obviously, and maybe he feels that’s enough to keep him in Deschamps’ thoughts.
