That's true but being 0-2 down still offers hope (however faint in our case) while 0-3 is game over.
Neto sent off at nil nil. You sure?

Premier League: Was Chelsea's penalty at Crystal Palace a VAR error?
Jaydee Canvot blocked Joao Pedro's goal-bound shot with his arm and a penalty was awarded after a VAR intervention - but was it the right decision?www.bbc.co.uk

Another point which no-one has mentioned - in the first half Palace were given a free kick and the Chelsea player who had committed the foul (can't remember who) picked up the ball and walked away five yards or so with it before throwing it away. Surely that is a standard yellow card offence yet nothing was given.

I think every team should be allowed to nominate a ref that they don't want near them.I think statically we have an even worse points per game ratio when he is the referee than when Clattenburg reffed against us. Is it 1 win from 15 matches? I know we can't request Steve Bennett but surely enough is enough with this clown.

100% corrupt..You could also add that he's a gutless, arrogant wanker...but I've saved you the bother, I'll take a yellow for ya! 🤣🤣Yup, England did nothing. He's a cheat.

Yep, I did mention it in the match thread ,it happened on a couple of occasions and looked like team instructions when the ball was dead or out of play to delay the match restarting . The most obvious was when the ball went out for a goal kick , the Palace defender went to get the ball down by the corner flag and the Chelsea player picked up a spare ball took it into the penalty area and dropped it . Ended up with two balls on the pitch and a delay in the restart .Another point which no-one has mentioned - in the first half Palace were given a free kick and the Chelsea player who had committed the foul (can't remember who) picked up the ball and walked away five yards or so with it before throwing it away. Just insert the truth. If it's against a big team it may be given. If it's done by a big team, it won't be given. There is total confusion about the penalty award with different former refs giving different opinions about the situation. As an ex ref myself I find it incredible that the law is unclear about what should happen in this situation. IFAB really need to sort this out as it brings the laws of the game into disrepute and puts unnecessary pressure on refs/vars.
