Next Manager?

Whoever is manager has to fully understand the business model for Palace, buy cheap, sell for profit, reinvest the gains, that is what we do, mostly successfuly, If he doesn’t understand or like that, he isn’t the manager for us.

What and when did he do that , he always wanted to play in italy its not a secret he is 29 this year time is against him , I want him till the end of the season and im happy for him to go and hopefully scoring another 10 goals before he goes , it ups the value

Maybe thats what the whole Strand-Lardeedar/Guesswho thing is all about to find a suitable replacement. Its not the most obvious shortcoming in the squad but one volunteer is worth 2 pressed men or so they say.

Glasner informed Parish he wouldn't be signing a new contract back on October.

Hopefully Steve has been proactive for once instead of reactive and has been busy lining up a replacement.

If a replacement has been lined up but can only start next season the choices seem to be,
1) Stick with Glasner until the end of the season
2) Glasner leaves and an interim/caretaker replaces him until the new manager comes in.

To an extent results will dictate, but I'm firmly in the first camp.
Why throw everything up in the air at this stage of the season with all the attendant chaos of the second option?
I hoped we had moved beyond the Ernie Whalley and Thomas Brolin caretaker days.

On balance, and under the circumstances, I have concluded that at this juncture maintaining the 'Status Quo' is an example of sound judgement.
I am not going to prognosticate that 'Business as usual' will be maintained until the end of the season.

Agreed (for now).

As for Parish being proactive, we will probably never know. Steve could have a verbal agreement with a manager who already has a job only for the guy to use it as leverage with his current club or accepting a better offer elsewhere.

Until pen is put to paper these managers like players are always playing one side off against each other.

My guess is that if Parish has a target they are currently in work, otherwise he would bring him in now and put Glasner on gardening leave.

Let's just hope it's not Frank Lampard.

I guess we’ll see if OG settles down a bit. In any case we need some wins.

really want frank lampard
Really don't want Frank Lampard.

Totally overrated in my opinion. Yes doing well with Coventry at the moment, but the rest of his tenure at other clubs has been underwhelming.

For me we need to look seriously at Iñigo Pérez. If you look at his tactics and style of play it suits our model of transfers etc.
