Not sure how you get new players to come to the club and commit to the”project” when they don’t know who’ll be managing them or what’s the style of football will be.

Or get your best players to commit to longer deals - for that matter.

Timing of Glasner leaving, smack bang in the middle of a transfer window couldn't be worse.

Is this a sign that our business is done this window?

He's been a fantastic manager and delivered a major trophy, something I never thought would happen, so the memories will always be there.

However, this feels like the inevitable downward spiral has now gathered momentum.

Relegation next season now seems like a real possibility.

I can't help but think the investment in the stadium would not have been a move Parish would proceed with if he felt as though we were headed towards relegation.

Parish has known of OG's departure for a while, so the January Transfer window should have little to do with Glasner.

We've all had plenty of moans over the last few years and I've certainly had some hysterical reactions/doomsday prophecies. However, after successfully staying in the Prem for over a decade, an FA Cup/Charity Shield, European football and now an improved Selhurst Park, I have a little bit of faith that unless Parish is planning to leave, he has plans to continue to push our club onwards and upwards.

It's all going on atm. No win for a millenia, ending up in the Conference League play-offs, small squad, injury list, AfCON, Glasner going, Guehi going etc. etc. Things will change, we may even finish the year fantastically and win a European trophy.

Because MG is being sold this weekend OG announcing what they already knew avoids the obvious questions about that influencing a decision to leave, is he leaving, etc. We are safe in the league so a good time to get all the bad news out at once and prepare for next season. Sell Mateta if he wants to go and start again. Conference league will be a bonus.

No way. OG as Marc has proved all season he will remain committed to the cuase until the end of the season. When he made his decision back in October were we not in the middle of a 19 game unbeaten run. There's just no need to throw the toys out of the pram. OG has been our most successful manager winning our first major trophy. We only have alot to thank him for. Will be sad to see him go nonetheless.

Very few clubs can keep their assets regardless of size. SP, OG and Dougie Freedman helped get the club in the position we are in. Procuring top players then getting the best out of them, increasing the value of these players so that if and when sold we have the finances to find decent replacements. Its what we do with the proceeds that matters then, if we reinvest well we will continue to succeed. After all we won the FA Cup in May being the size of club that we are. Thirteen successive seasons in the PL is proof the club's strategy is working. I have no doubt the club will continue to progress. COYP

It will just be a time of change. We knew Marc was leaving for months. Getting a decent fee now is sensible imho. Sad to see OG depart, he is a fantastic manager.

Agreed, the slow piecemeal plan is always a risk as it depends on a) continuous good recruitment and b) a lot of luck. 3 stands (and Sainsbury's) need knocking down and redesigning to get a proper capacity back, and that must involve ground sharing. That corporate stand will be useless in the championship. Mind you after today's news we might not even get that.

Seeing Liverpool fans have a meltdown on Guehi going to a rival has at least put a silver lining on a ton of bad news.
We are Palace and it was bound to happen. Deep down we all knew Oli and Marc would be off by the season's end. 20m for a top class England International defender is just so depressing though. Even Leicester paid more than that for Harry Winks for goodness sake.
It is what it is. Parish will have to shore things up and give us the best chance to win the Conference League. Be a great send off if Oli got that one over the line.
