As many predicted on here. Not a team player for effort. We swallowed it because of his icon status and a performance every 2 nd or 3 rd game but arse won’t suffer it.

Eze was brilliant at times and also scored some great and important goals…BUT that was only part of the story. Zero use when out of possession (infact minus impact) and a passenger in many games. You can’t afford to be like that at a team battling it out for the title.

I think Guehi to Liverpool is looking less likely and certainly not in January. There is a chance that he will honour his agreement with them from last summer and just join at the end of the season for what he had already agreed. Marc does seem the type to do this. However, the amount of interested parties and developments at Anfield this season may cause him to reconsider his options. I would prefer him to go abroad but wish him well in whatever he chooses.

Real Madrid are supposed to be after him this summer. If that is true then from tomorrow Guehi can sign a contract with them. It wouldn't surprise me both Madrid and Barcelona no longer spend fortunes on buying players and now seem to focus on free transfers.

He's going to the World Cup and then he's going to have a huge number of options. Liverpool are mugs, they needed him and they were attractive as table leading defending champs but now he won't even want to go

Hopefully the club end the Guehi transfer story this window. Would be nice if MG could sign a new deal (like Cunha with Wolves, got a good fee) and then left for Man United in the summer.

Just do the £35M deal with Man City and draw a line under it. Decent fee for a player so close to the end of his contract. MG is just an unsettling figure now, doesn’t want to be here and showed ZERO leadership at Macclesfield. Along with the OG contract situation these two aspects are causing us untold damage at the moment.

According to Transfermarkt the fee we paid Chelsea was £20m (Euro 23.35). Chelsea won’t get a penny if this is the case. I suspect also that the deal is more complex than stated with add-on, sell-on, matches played and international matches clauses so that the fee rises over the years. Hopefully Palace get the rights to buy City players when they are thrown out of football over the 115 corruption charges.

I'll be very sorry to see Marc leave, but it was inevitable when he refused to sign a new contract.

He's been a great player for us and a strong captain. I wish him well as his career develops as it surely will.

£20m now or £0m in the summer which is what most expected a few weeks ago. Looked at like that Parish has secured £20m we weren’t in line to get while getting half a season of excellent play from Guehi. Looks to me like a pretty decent job

If Guehi is the difference between Europa Conf or not....its a terrible deal, if we somehow manage to win it, fair enough!

I’m not sure Guehi is the difference so much as finding a way to break down teams and score goals. That’s where we’ve struggled in Europe. I think £20m for a player who could have walked for free in the summer is decent business. We will all miss Guehi as he’s been excellent for us but in this case I completely see why the club have taken the money as it was the best of the not good options they had.
