Winter Transfer Window 2026

Trouble with cover at right back is unless Munoz is out or leaves the replacement is going to be a sosa type not a full blown Munoz replacement. Do you think Dan came here to be wards understudy.

In my eyes, Hendo, max, Munoz, Mitchell and Wharton are shoe ins when fit, all other places are up for grabs.
I have a feeling we won't have Munoz for too much longer. He's never made a secret of the fact that he has dreams of playing for Barca, but where Barca do seem to have a load of right backs, If he keeps up his performances then I can see a whole host of other clubs interested in him this or next summer.
With that in mind, a suitable replacement 6 months before that happens is a sensible investment.

We are always so sensible.

Munoz will also be 30 in the summer. Only fair to let him have a go at the the top.

I'd also be looking to get a replacement in now

I personally find it way better not having that pathetic bullshit merchant on here. It was all nonsense and hugely misleading. I’d rather know nothing and then read I about it when it happens than be misinformed for weeks for someone else’s kicks.
I assume, nobody at a major club in his right mind would drop a word about ongoing transfers to outsiders. Not just would they risk endangering possible moves but even worse for them they would risk loosing instantly a well-paid job by breaking confidentiality clauses. And the days when single players fed journalists with interna in exchange for favourable reporting are long gone too for the same reason.

Agents are the ones who release details - either to get their players current club to negotiate a better contract or to get more money out of their players prospective club.

Only selling clubs would release details of a potential transfer as it might trigger another club to come in and gazump them with a bid

Agreed. I think the only time players brief the press is when they are trying to force a move, otherwise there is no benefit in them doing it.

I certainly align with your thinking and sentiment. I do enjoy the odd bit of stuff that comes out that you just get a feeling for…

Like Chris Armstrong on Twitter a couple of weeks ago saying Brennan Johnson from Spurs to us was a done deal. You just knew he had got hold of something reliable.

Perhaps on occasions some trusted souls are flashed the smallest disclosures akin to a Parisian Belle displaying glimpses of her inner thigh. 😀

One of the players mentioned, Kevin Danois from Auxerre, lots of 'rumours' about him, also involving Ahamada, going the other way. Anyone got info?
Joao Gomes would be a huge signing but surely out of our price range. I suspect some of these rumours are for next summer when potentially Munoz, Mateta and possibly Wharton move on to fund our rebuild post Guehi departure. Munoz and Mateta are good ages to move them on to get maximum value. Will be gutted to see Munoz leave but makes good business sense
