Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Sorry but got to question Glasner now
Zero plan B
Except bringing lively kids on when games dead and buried
Not the Messiah everyone thought
1 dimensional

What do you expect him to do with this squad, before the season you would class it as being a bottom half squad, do you think it's as easy as saying, this aint working, lets just go 443 its only Newcastle away, that'll work.

We signed over £50m worth of players in the summer, presumably sanctioned by OG. He keeps playing the one who obviously isn’t good enough for this league, keeps seeing us do the same thing week in week out and lose and changes nothing. His job is to get performances from the team. Not easy with key players missing but he has to do better than this
The players we signed were all new to English football and three of them are relatively inexperienced, so they are bound to take time to adapt. As mentioned by external sources are squad is currently threadbare.

Not happy.

Creating virtually nothing up front. Giving the ball away regularly. Can't defend set pieces.

Mateta wins nothing. Wharton was awful second half. Uche? No thanks. Pino? What is he doing?

The injury crisis has exposed the obvious lack of depth. Without Munoz, Sarr and Kamada, we have become slow and ineffective. Our bench is devoid of quality.

More talent needed in this month. Johnson will not be enough if we want a top half finish and a Conference Cup.

Newcastle away is always going to be a tough game. The set piece defending is a worry. We have been rocked by player absences recently which has shown in our form. The squad is not one that can easily cover when members of the starting eleven are missing.

Wharton is light weight, but he plays in a system that sees the opposition regularly out number us in the middle of the park. Without the proper width and outlet from Munoz Glasner's formation fails, as has been seen in all these past games, yet he persists with it. Recent results tend to back up my comments I do believe...

No player is ever undroppable, see Salah, but he's been spoken about as our greatest ever keeper recently, has made no glaring errors, has made 3 saves of the season contenders in recent weeks (another great save as I type this) and the defence in front of him is crumbling.

He's probably top 5 for performers in the last month!
He has made glaring errors recently. Half the team has.

Saw it coming games ago, said change was required. But nothing changes, same tactics from a one dimensional manager who knows no other way. So be it. Expect further losses until the full squad is available again and then hope that things haven't got too bad that they can't be put right. Thing is, it's all so predictable.
Before the Fulham game, Silva described Palace as playing in two different ways. One at home, one away why did he do that?
