Reports of brennan Johnson having meetings with Glasner.

Surely his first question would be why would I sign for you if you are off at the end of the season? 🤔

Second part of his medical and official confirmation due today, apparently.

I have to say I think the club has played a blinder here. He addresses the biggest issue in our side at the moment, a lack of goals and creativity in forward areas, and we've done it early enough to try and address our current bad run and salvage the season.

He's young, talented, scored a load of goals last season and will give competition / support to Sarr and Pino. Really hope this commitment is also an indication that we're trying to keep Glasner.

Can't stop here either. Need a RWB and, potentially, a CM before the end of January too.

If Sarr is able to play on the left when he returns then we will have some serious pace in our forward line and both are capable finishers. We are likely going to be relying a lot on counterattacks a lot more in the next few fixtures so that pace will be invaluable, plus he should be ready to start straight away. £35 million still seems a lot to me, but it is hard to think of anyone who is more suited to our current style who is available.

If he scores a few winners each place is worth a few million. Could pay his wages at least. Just a drop I know but also help with the conference league goals.
Quite looking forward to seeing what he brings.

Its a really good deal for all sides.

Day 2 of the window.

Spurs get rid of a player not in the plans, and one who would just sit an rot on he bench for the rest of the season (and go for less money)

Palace get a player perfect for our system. And a player who was bought for 50m a few seasons back

Well done all

Esse is rumoured to be going to Coventry on loan.
A case of one in and one out if Johnson joins and Esse leaves.
It could be a good loan for him.
A confident, front foot team at the top of the table.
Ye I hope he can do well there if he goes. Glasner's handling of the entire Esse situation has been poor in my opinion and the one blot in his copy book.

Looking like a done deal for Johnson. Seems like a really positive deal and not one that I thought we'd get done so early or for the fee mentioned.

Onto a rwb (Boey/ El Ouadhi) and a cm (Smit) and there could be a real positive push in the second half of the season.

Boey and Smit would be insane signings to add to Johnson!

I am still concerned about the No 9 position. Should Mateta be sidelined our options regarding someone of that profile are limited. Some might suggest Uche but I remain to be convinced about a player who was a holding midfielder in Spain.
