Glasner to reject a new deal?

One player in would definitely not cut it. I think we’re all aware that we need more than that just on a practical level.

The concensus among most fans seems to be around three quality players would be enough to fill the gaps.

Again, Ollie has publicly said something similar to that, he basically identified three positions where we absolutely need someone, Striker, Inside Forward (the Sarr/Pino role), and Right Wingback.

If three serious options in those positions come in by the middle of the month, I think we see Ollie sign. If not, we don’t.

We are looking at players who fit the bill. Sacha Boey is clearly the #1 target for RWB. Johnson or Bobb are on the radar for IF. We’ve had a few strikers linked, I couldn’t say who the number one target might be for now.

Apparently Boey was speaking to Glasner but as Glasner will not commit he's not particularly interested. Johnson is out of our price range at double our record ever transfer fee. We won't have the leeway unless we're definitely Champions League next season. Bobb doesn't want to leave City for here. A loan is possible. Strand-Larsen is possible but him and Gomes unlikely. Just what I'm hearing but seems plausible.

Wow, nobody loves us anymore, at this rate we will have less players at the end of the window than we have now , and no manager 🙁🙁.

Why? Pino is awful and gives the ball away 8 times out of 10 every game either with silly flicks to nobody or poorly over hit passes.

Cases in point yesterday were the poor waste of a free kick, the over hit through ball to Nketiah and the throw in from Mitchell on the halfway line which he could’ve controlled on his chest or given back to Mitchell but instead hooked it over his own head in the completely wrong direction and out of play.

I want him to come good but at the moment he should not be in the team apart from the fact we have no one else.

Don’t be fooled just because the hf start his song every five minutes (strangely even when we’ve got a corner with five minutes to go, when he’s not even involved and it would make much more sense to start a rousing ‘Palace’ or ‘Eagles’ chant instead).

I do find him very frustrating - he has moments of quality in games, but as you say also has a lot of loose passes and touches.

He's in a difficult spot where he's a young player adapting to a new league, but with an immediate burden on him to step up and deliver, a result of our lack of depth and Sarr's absence.

I do think he'll come good over the next year or so, but he's clearly not ready to be our primary outlet in games yet.

Played half a season, had no preseason. Didn't speak the language, had never even been to England before he signed. Very young, massive potential due to age and ability. Already a Spanish international.
Young players have the odd bad game. Its called learning. Like Canvot the other night. Dont remember hearing anyone hanging him out to dry and quite right too.
I'll repeat, if you really think Pino is crap you know nothing about football or the process of nurturing players

A) Pino is a regular starter so he is naturally held to a higher standard
B) He is playing in his natural position unlike canvot the game against arsenal
You already know this so you making this point is you grasping at straws over the fact that pino is not currently playing at the 30 million price point we paid for. We do not spend that amount of money for a player who is playing as poor as he is simple as. Not really trying to hear the excuses as younger players with less percieved pedigree as him coming from abroad have kicked on better than he has (example Noah Sadiki at Sunderland)

It is a very catching song. Easy to learn and very punchy. I can see why its sung, but dont think its got much relevance to Pinot's performance at the time.

Who says it isn't? I dont think Glasner rates Esse from his comments and actions. That may have nothing to do with ability. Might be attitude. Who knows but I'd say in terms of development/age Pino is probably miles ahead of Esse. Appearances and goals for the Spanish National team stand that argument up. Esse isn't even a regular first choice for England's U21s
