Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham match thread

I hate to say it but I just don’t see a way back. We have lost the solid back and nobody seems like scoring, there just looks like nothing is there at all, like they are all f***ed. They can’t possibly be that tired, they are professional athletes FFS.

And to top it off, this is one of the worst Spurs teams I have ever seen. Shocking but what does that say about us.

As the other poster said… December can f*** off

We are.

There’s a lack of quality, effort and desire.

It’s shockingly bad and I’m surprised Glasner has allowed this to happen. Has he stopped caring too?

He doesn't have time to work with them anymore this is the problem he has even said this they spend at most 30min training the rest is all recovery.

Positive is its come at a good time we can go in at half time and things can be said and changed.

We do have some attacking options

Then he needs to change what he is doing. Right now we are defensively poor, lacking physicality and look tired. So he’s not preparing us either physically or tactically

He can't do anything.

Go and learn about sports science etc and how it works.

We are playing too many games in short period of time it's all about recovery.

The issue is the limited squad which is not on the manager

Utilising the squad players is surely always better than just over working and buggering the first team, but then using them relentlessly anyway.

It's halftime so maybe Ollie can take the entire team together on the pitch and show them the net and that it's only 8' high so kicking the ball at the second tier in the stands is not going to put it into the net.

I have a theory, a passing thought, that Uche never starts because the club doesn't want to meet the terms of his loan, and he's just here to fill in the gap in the meantime. Kind of explains why OG picks Mateta (injured allegedly) over Uche but perhaps doesn't explain why Mateta always starts ahead of £25m star buy Eddie Nketiah. I wonder what he makes of it, and is our forward line so truly woeful?
I was looking at Pardew's record, and it wasn't that bad, in fact if he'd avoided that wanky dad dance and instead concentrated on getting instructions out to his team and maybe some time wasting subs then history could gave been very different. However, Glasner took it all the way, everything fell into place at the right time for him, the players, and the club, but now that the wheels are coming off the cart he struggles to adapt. Mateta is a donkey, an overworked one, yet Glasner persists without variation. Now given that Nketiah is not very good and Uche never starts where does a goal come from?
I was thinking that currently we are on a par with sides of previous managers.

I agree the limited squad is an issue but that isn’t an excuse for not being able to defend set pieces.
