Perfection is not in the human gift, however my fears apropos England batting collapses and Zak Crawley have come to pass.
After a 1st innings lead, it was an opportunity to build on that advantage sensibly but alas we played T-20 cricket. Ridiculous.😡😡

I can't help feeling Crawley gets selected, as much as any other reason, because of his contrast to Duckett (right/left handed, tall/short) but the theory of this affecting the bowlers line & length is, let's say, questionable. Presumably he's playing to order but it'd be nice if we had an opener who could at least see some of the shine off the ball. It might be old fashioned thinking but knocking the cover off it isn't an opener's job until he's properly in. Unless your name is Chris Gayle.

Seems to have been a problem for us for a long time. We seemed to have gone down there at least looking like we’ve got a bit of pace with our bowling, even Anderson and Broad looked laboured the last two visits, but we’ve got batters who just can’t seem to switch off that bloody baz ball mentality when a bit of stickability is needed

Australia took Bazball to a new level. Travis Head just hit the third fastest Test century ever by an Australian!

And Labuschagne scored his fifty at a strike rate of 104.08

If that’s not T20 mode I don’t know what is!

They scored at over six an over which by your own judgement is more bazball than even England,Head played a ramp shot (for six)that is T-20 cricket not much sign of pragmatically steadying any ships there.

Perhaps their batting was a reflection of the England bowling, besides once the team has many wickets still in hand, one can be aggressive safe in the knowledge that the team is in a commanding position.
The England performance was unacceptable and they are deserving of being on the receiving end of unrelenting invective.Shame on them.

Firstly bigging up the Aussie lower order (which is awful) and then complaining that we batted in T20 mode when in fact Australia out Bazballed us and showed us exactly how it is done (205 runs off just 28 overs!)
