Labour Party politics

That's because even the Labour media are sick and tired of Labour already. They're that sh1t. It hasn't stretched to wanting the Tories back, however. Frankly, you needn't worry about them.
The Reform
party will find it tough to run an election campaign without the machinery an awful lot goes into fielding 650 candidates, agents and local offices, door knockers postal ballots, advertising, deposits, news briefings,tv managment correct form filling at Town Halls and a large number of exceteras. i have seen it up close and a political party cannot achieve it in a relatively short period of time.

Streeting is clearly the Blairite poster-boy. Also seen some noises made about Rayner stepping back into the frame but cannot see that happening. But there is clearly something happening. This budget is clearly scaring the s*** out of a lot of Labour MP's.

That would be working for the majority I guess. Nah not goner happen is it ?

No but if managed effectively, could present all kinds of problems. Imagine somebody like Ed Miliband being able to push all his green nonsense through on the back of it? Because his name is very much in the frame here although I suspect if it is Wes Streeting, then Eddie Boy is history. But we will see.

Scaring all of us to be honest.
I suspect they will water it down from the recent headlines but it will still be a bad one.
Pay more tax for 2m people not to look for work, for people to have more than two children by different Fathers, for out of control legal and illegal migration, for a lower producing public sector, for inflation busting public sector pay rises and so much more - the list is endless.
Many of us are not sure how much more we can take from a Government that promised change but instead that seems help bent on the destruction of the UK.

It's too easy to blame the 'Government'. For me, it is the system itself. The judiciary, especially.

They are emboldened by the student politics government, and largely empowered by them. Most will not stand up to change if they're going to lose their cushy jobs. They do what they're told in general.
The civil service however, will have a large element on go slow if Reform gets in. They are like an extension of a gender studies tutorial these days. A way of linking pay to performance needs to be found.

Not a good time for Labour. Unemployment rising (as some of us predicted) and millions of people signed off not required to look for work for one reason or another.

Rachel about to hike taxes big time whilst removing the restrictions on the 2 child cap or as 1 paper put it 1 million unemployed to get taxpayers money.

They are in a mess but I don't see a way out. We need to cut our debt significantly and reduce spending, it's not going to happen so like the previous government they will kick the can down the road until we fall off a cliff (mixing my metaphors).

Meanwhile 18000 NHS bureaucrats are to be made redundant with a nice little pay off at the cost of 1bn . I'm not against getting rid of bureaucracy but I am suspicious about these so called job cuts. How many of these people will simply just change job titles and carry on as they are with a nice little payday.

4milion not required to work. And they used to say Thatcher manipulated unemployment figures. Laughable. I want a breakdown of that frankly. If it contains a load of recent arrivals they can get lost. Reform need to address this.

I read an article a while ago based on DWP data that if you were on universal credit, housing, incapacity and pip, you'd be on untaxed£25k. Minimum wage and you'd be on £25400 taxed. So £3k better of on benefits. About time that untaxed imbalance was removed.

This Government is falling apart, it has failed the electorate and it would appear that there are manoeuvres to replace Starmer.
There are reports of a 'Coup', no smoke without fire.
This government could well sink further into the abyss after the Budget announcement.

A re-alignment is necessary for labour.

The new soft left group, and Andy Burnhams mainstream group look set to profit because they are representing what the public expects from a labour government imo.

The NYC election was primarily about the cost of living crisis, their voters and ours have had enoigh of the punishment.

Two very unequal societies still persisting with failed economic models.

😎

Gossip is doing the rounds that Keir will be challenged in a coup d 'etat well you don't have to be very bright to realise that Coups only work if done suddenly, unexpectedly stealthily and skillfully as soon as that rag the Daily Mail puts it on the front page by the oxygen of publicity it cannot successfully work. Surely Catesby and Fawkes would tell you if they didn't have a date with a pile of faggots and left in smoke, this is obviously the silly season when newspapers are short of a few column inches.
