Patrick Bamford

As someone has already mentioned, Bamford is a posh boy who's spoilt and used to getting what he wants. So he felt entitled to play for little Palace.
He's the son (I think) of the 'B' in the digger firm JCB.

I am just intrigued to understand why you have asserted that Bamford is a "Posh boy" who is "Spoilt".

Also, isn't crowd favourite Will Hughes also a bit of a posh boy? Attended a top public school I believe.

Maybe he's a different type of posh, one we can all support.

Will Hughes attended Repton School in Derby.

I was fortunate enough to have a privileged upbringing, my daughter attended independent schools both primary and secondary. I suspect in the minds of some on HOL we can be filed under 'Posh'.
I can assure one and all that we do NOT engage in any condescension, we are humility personified.
People like my daughter and 'Yours Truly' are despised by this dastardly Government.

I had a free scholarship for gifted students. It failed to make me posh.

With Bamford, I think its clear that he was hated not because he was posh (because why not Hughes) nor because he was crap (because why not Sanago).
It was because he was arrogant and thought he was too good for us.

I seem to remember Bamford was the subject of a clickbait article not so long ago, in the article it said something to the tune of not being in the best headspace when he was at Palace & his performances reflected that -

Bamford is on record as saying that he regrets the attitude he had while at Palace.
Bamford came to us as a young chap in his early 20s and on the back of a succession of loans.
Perhaps with the advancement of time, and maturity, he has reflected on his tenure at our club and he has asserted that he now regrets his attitude.
In life in general there are those who regret actions of the past. Perfection is not in the human gift.
