Humble pie over Parish anyone?

He does like the limelight, but suggesting he does business late in windows because he likes the limelight isn’t true. You’ve just said you agree that he does get a better deal at the window so you’ve rubbished your own point.
Ok but I was expressing an opinion only, and as we know opinions are like arse holes… everybody has one. Both points are valid and can both be correct or wrong at the same time.

What I should have said was, you are amazing and have turned my life and wayward opinions and foolish ideas around. I have well and truly seen the light. Thank you.

As long as you’ve seen the error in your points, all good.

Its always so easy to criticise, this summer a few fans were quite hysterical.
Keeping a settled squad and minimising the number of our best players leaving was an excellent transfer window, for us all to see this season.
Its so easy to spend someone's elses money - I was and continue to be in 100% support of the chairman in his objective to run a sustainable football club. And how effective we have been in the January window previously when others spent all they had in the summer. Think of Wharton and Munoz two winters ago.
SP is as much a Crystal Palace fan as you and I, people need to remember that. He wants the best, equally to us, not less.
And fans sometimes also need to take some press rumours with a pinch of salt eg OG threatening to resign or Marc resigning as captian and going on strike following his failed move in the summer.
This summer was unique in the fact we had lost Dougie as SP, no CEO in place and SP having to focus on the court case to keep us in the Europa League, which must have taken up a huge amount of his time. He has now appointed a new SP and CEO. I am sure he has learned lessons and future transfer windows will run a bit better in terms of earlier business.
