Labour Party politics

Brian Wilson more like.....and like him he'll suffer from nose bleeds.....his poor treatment of the grooming gangs issue is going to latched onto big time.
As a local politician he is not subject to the relentless media intrusion that national politicians face. In the past I have seen some good stuff from him and some absolute howlers that passed under the radar.

If he does bid for the leadership I expect a few skeletons will fall out of his closet. Some people moaned that the media went after Corbyn dragging up old stuff. The truth was they did and would do to any politician, in the past he was a no hopper so no one cared. The media only care when it is newsworthy.

Khan gets plenty of stick and rightly so. If it aint true they can always sue.

Starmer has just announced a digital id scheme. No details yet.

I want to know what the benefits are versus the cost and potential for fraud.

Whatever the relative benefits may be how would this card prevent anyone working in the black economy?
I don't see how it will stop someone getting into a dingy.

It may cut down on benefit fraud but only if the controls around issuing the ids are robust. The criminals will soon work out how to get around the safeguards so the government will end up issuing a valid id based on fraudulent documentation.

Mainly with their wallets.
Londoners will want to pay more tax to fund other areas - although the capital itself is currently bankrupt. Which is surprising under Khan's administration after he's found multiple ways to charge more for nothing at all. Shame he can't reduce his personal social media staff. But I wouldn't want him to struggle.
Or to have to do his own stunts.

I think labour will abolish the 2-child benefit cap now, due to this.

AB represents moderate Labour voters, Starmer is too right wing.
