Any lefty complaining about free speech who wasn't also complaining when the left were in power doesn't deserve a hearing. Some of the same people complaining about Kimmel were defending people being arrested for silently praying.

The generation were completely betrayed.

Nearly half a million died and much more in WW1 only for modern politicians to give the country they fought for away to foreigners.

It's deeply depressing. It has been known for decades that large numbers of migrants don't integrate into a society like a slow trickle does. Enoch Powell said as much.

And yet it has been allowed to happen.

There is this guy I occasionally listen to.....Commercially I regard him as dodgy but I've found many of his videos funny in an understated way and brutally honest about what it takes to succeed in some spheres.

There are several aspects about him that I don't like but he's highly intelligent and when those people talk it's never a bad idea to listen.

Charlie Kirk held, and spread ideas that are typical of the evangelical right. He advocated for Christian Nationalism, was anti abortion, anti DEI, anti LGBT rights. It’s perfectly ok to hold such ideas but it’s not to advocate for their adoption if the majority opposes them. It’s no surprise when such extreme views produce equality extreme reactions. Such views are divisive, as you either love them, or hate them. I advocate that those who believe in them should be fully entitled to live their own lives by such standards, but should not be allowed to impose their beliefs on others.

I oppose violence of any kind, whoever is involved, or whatever the source. So you will never, ever read or hear anything from me defending riots. That’s completely different to trying to identify the underlying causes of events, which is what I often attempt to do.

You, once again, lay your prejudice out in the open by your use of “abortion murder clinics”. An offensive and grossly inappropriate term. I have absolutely no problem with any woman who refuses to have an abortion, in any circumstances, on moral or religious grounds. That is entirely her personal choice and will always be defended. However, the reverse applies. If a woman decides to have a legal abortion then no one should interfere in any way. You can campaign to change the law but unless and until it is changed you abide by it.

This is hilarious and it's not the first time he's made this point before twisting himself in knots trying to square with his support today's existing dogma, which was once very much opposed by the majority of people.

Homosexuals, transgenderism and a whole host of groups were allowed to advocate for their adoption as acceptable by a public far less indoctrinated than today.

Following his logic these people wouldn't have been allowed to advocate.

Kimmel has spread disinformation about what happened on a major TV network. You would expect him to be sanctioned as ABC has a public responsibility in exchange for it's licence.

That said, his real crime is that he is crap and people have stopped watching him. On America TV that is a crime that they don't forgive unlike the BBC.

Wrong again. You are twisting Kimmels actions to fit a narrative. His condolences were a hollow setup for his real aim which was snarky jabs at the rights response. That’s not empathy it’s exploiting a tragedy. If you can’t see how that fuels division, you are not looking hard enough.

You mention censorship games. The lefty playbook is clear they deplatform voices they dislike or in recent cases they assassinate and murder.

Blaming Kirk’s ideas for extreme reactions without evidence is just lazy. Those are opinions not incitement. Pinning violence on him because you disagree is a cheap tactic.

Indeed, if Corny isn't lying about his age then he literally grew up in times where people were more socially conservative than Charlie Kirk.

Corny's views would have been considered the extreme ones, not Kirk.....Yet he spends so much time trying to paint other people as extreme it's quite laughable.

Kirk was the guy who would welcome those who disagreed with him to debate him.
