True, but as crucial as that was, we have to evolve. Yes he has grown the club financially to I read earlier £400m which takes some doing but we seem permanently skint and the only way we can buy players is to sell others.
Dougie is a big loss but we have no plan B in place and the same applies to a forward plan for when Guehi would leave the stepping stone that is Crystal Palace for one of the ‘Golden 6’.
We have bought a centre half in Canvot which is great but he is a right footer so even if he were PL quality it’s not a like for like.
Parish said after the Cup Final ….live for the moment. Yes, as incredible as it was we want more of those moments not just stand still and this is where the big difference is between him and Glasner.

Personally I think the European issue has taken the board and hierarchy focus away earlier in from preparing for this season. I think SP has made some mistakes this window (we all make mistakes). Hopefully he has learnt from this

Liverpool have stated Parish pulled the plug following extensive dis with the head coach. If anything it might strengthen their relationship if Parish has turned down £35 million for the sake of his coach.

Sometimes it works that way. Sounds to me as if he was given an ultimatum. We all knew what OG thought about the deal ,Parish, must have done.

Charity shield, European group stages. Kept all but 1 of the squad, and added 4/5 players.

It was never discussed and according to Textor he would have happily put his shares into a blind trust, whether that's true or not, who knows. I don't think anyone at the club even looked into UEFAs MCO rules, why would they, there was absolutely no chance we were getting into Europe and Textor was looking to sell his shares anyway. What's the point. Which is what we all would have thought before March the 1st, its far easier with hindsight.

Still, it doesn't change the fact the club was ill prepared and the fact Textor was majority owner at lyon, who pretty much qualify for Europe every season, it's probably something that should have been discussed. It was a genuine mistake but Parish is paid very well by the club not to make these mistakes.

It's done now anyway, there's no need to continuously bash Parish but alongside that and the handling of Guehi, i wouldn't say it's unfair criticism.

I think it's certainly fair that Parish should take blame (how much I don't know) for the Europa situation.

Nobody's perfect but I think most clubs would love a figure like Parish at the helm. We were a QPR sized club and look at them now compared to us.
