Someone wrote on Reddit that he’s not even been a clear starter one season in his career, which is just not true, here’s my reply from there;
“31 league apps in 2021-22. 36 league apps in 2022-23. Out injured for a full year in 2023-24 so made 7 apps. 34 league apps upon full return in 2024-25. Season just started he’s played 2, picked up an assist last Sunday vs Girona.
Has 200 career games under his belt at 22 years old.
He’s been a regular for Villarreal for three full seasons. In that time he’s won the Europa League, which he was the youngest player to win or even start a final in, and he was crucial in a few knockout ties in that comp.
He’s also featuring for the Spain national team and won the Nations League with them.
Liverpool and Arsenal were interested in 2023 just before the injury came and put it all to bed.”
He’s actually surprisingly experienced for a 22 year old.

Very clear that he's been an important player for the last 4/5 years.

Three things that have stood out in bits I've read about his strengths: tactically astute, technically gifted, hard working.
To my mind, these are three qualities which should see him thrive under Glasner if he signs.
