Zrinjski vs. Crystal Palace match thread

When we were dumped into this Mickey mouse competition we looked like favourites to win it because of how well our team was playing. It was difficult to see another team in it who could live with us.

Now I'd actually think that what chance we have of winning it is connected to being underdogs. If we can squeeze through this round we'll start playing slightly better teams, and that might allow us to defend deep and compact, have less of the ball, and pinch the odd game against the run of play. We certainly can't live with these teams from Bosnia etc.

We've been total pony poo in the second half for a number of games now. Don't look like creating, more like conceding. Very strange.
It’s not strange if you look at it as the more influence Glasner has the less well we do. It tells you either Galsner is inept or he’s lost the dressing room and so players just react negatively to what he says

Even if we do go on to win this game, it is clear that the players are not playing for OG. Or they just don’t give a s*** about the club. Either way they can all fcuk off.
It is not acceptable to have such insipid performances. All we ever ask is for a bit of fight and passion.
You don’t have to be the best but bloody fight for the shirt you lazy bunch of tossers.
I'd exempt Sarr and, to some extent, Larden from this criticism. Their link-up play is the only remotely positive aspect of this game

I don’t really buy into the ‘for the shirt’ stance.

They might have had another one as I’m typing, well done Tyrick.

Players are playing football, in front of international audiences, for ridiculous sums of money, at the end of the day.

It’s personal pride if not for the fun of playing football they should be putting some effort in.

When even that is absent, you have to assume there’s something very wrong.

Has any manger ever destroyed his own legacy as quickly as this c***? Who the f*** would touch him. I was genuinely gutted when he said he was leaving but honestly now I cannot understand how he is still in post. He is offering Nothing. In fact worse than that there is an ambivalence to everything about palace at the moment. Get him out and get ANYBODY in to save our season. I can see us getting f***ed on sunday

I reckon a manager who doesn’t come out and tell the bench they are crap may be a good start

It’s like when Holloway was in charge and the senior pros took it on themseleves in getting into the playoffs

Holloway was magnanimous enough to realise he was part of the issue. I don’t think Glasner would for one moment take any criticism- even if valid.
Agreed he may have his faults, no question about. But slagging him for each and everything, call him names, is not what he deserves. He wasn't alone responsible for all the successes we had last year, so I don't think it's fair to make him responsible alone for all the misery we are going through now.
